Great representation from Melehy & Associates, I am highly satistied with the results of my case.

My previous lawyer withdrew from my case a month before trial. I called The sharma firm on Monday. They immediately took over my case and had it settled before the trial date. What I like most about the firm is the fact that are skilled in litigation.

This law firm charged me an initial retainer fee of $7,500 to legally retain my EEO discrimination case, then proceeded to request information that could be used as an additional claim (to be charged extra money for) later in the case. Since I did not want to provide the information, upfront, to prevent the incurrence of more charges (and, it was information that could have been provided as needed, as the case progressed), the lawyer told me he did not trust that I was being totally forthcoming. Long story short, I ended the retainment before I could actually be represented. The lawyer spent less than 2 hours discussing my case with me via email, adding a small amount of verbiage to my complaint form, and placing my employer on notice that he was retained. I disputed the charge and was only refunded $3,750. The last response I received was to give their paralegal a call, to schedule a mutually convenient time to discuss my dissatisfaction with the amount of legal fees. I was given The Fitzpatrick Matrix that lists hourly rates for complex federal litigation legal fees in DC to understand how I was charged, but I don’t know the amount of experience the retained lawyer had in order to get an accurate account of the charges. Still, if the lawyer has 35+ years of experience, $3,750 is more than double what a 35+ years experienced lawyer would charge at a 2023 rate of $807 an hour, for two hours. I do not recall reading that the Matrix’s fees don’t apply to retainer fees. My hopes are for no other person to be scammed by this law firm, especially when they are being discriminated against in the workplace, and can barely afford a lawyer.

In the past, I had dealt with many law offices who wasted months of my time and $1000s in fees only to not deliver results. I am very fortunate to find Tina Sharma's offices. Their legal team provided the compassion and dedication necessary to put my case back on the right track and do what other offices told me was impossible. I was told by other law offices, K-1 applicants, etc. that I would never get an expedite approved for my fiance's K-1 visa, but it really happened! Special thanks to Ashley for working tirelessly on my case and helping to grant me the gift of being with my fiancé.

They will help you with your situation with care and compassion but at the very same time make sure that the legal outcome is fair for all parties involved. PLEASE! Stay away from this office with your divorce! If there’s a rating like 0, they deserved that and more. Wasted money and time. Apart from sending emails for their fees, I have to virtually defend myself. From No shows to court, coming late and not presenting documents on time. KEEP your DIVORCE from that office!
