Buying a house is not easy. Buying a house in a town with very stringent Title 5 requirements, a constrained build area, next to wetlands, driveway shared with a neighbor that needs to be provided access, and a mistake - huge mistake - on title with adjoining house affecting one’s proposed acquisition, all contribute to a difficult transaction. Mark Scheier, principal, helped me dirt through all these challenges cooly, calmly, rationally and with dignity and aplomb. Oh mind you, it wasn’t cheap, but the value proposition high. I would be hard pressed to find a more capable, experienced, and empathic lawyer than Mark. These are not terms I generally associate with the legal profession. Thank you, Mark.

My husband and I searched for a home in Massachusetts near our daughter for two years. We finally found our dream home, but it was a very difficult situation due to the bank foreclosing on the property. We chose Carlos Melon to handle the sale because he represented out daughter's purchase a couple of years before and he handled that complicated situation. I cannot begin to tell you all that happened during our pursuit of purchasing property. The week that we were to finally close on the first property, my husband was killed in a tractor accident getting our Missouri property ready to sell. I had to back out on the sale because the house required too much work and there was a lot of acres included. I could not maintain it myself. Carlos Melon handled everything, even though there was a tragedy in his own family during the same time! During the next months he supported my search for another home, and when I finally found one, Carlos got the seller to alter the contract to cover every issue I might have. I cannot begin to tell you what having complete confidence in him and the firm meant to me during this time in my life! I honestly do not know what I would have done without them!
