January 9, 2019 In November of 2018, I was involved in a traffic stop issue. In my case running late through a red light evolved into a situation that could have led to over $5000.00 in fines and the possibility of up to one year in jail! While trying to seek legal counsel, I received a reference to call the office of Robert D. Lewin of Lewin & Lewin Attorneys. I called Robert's office and spoke with his secretary. I explained my situation. After leaving my name and phone number, I received a call from Robert in less than one hour. After explaining my situation to Robert, he told me he believed he could help me with my case. I made an appointment for the following Monday and had my consultation with Robert. Together we reviewed my situation and Robert advised me as to the ways in which we could approach my case. He explained each option carefully in a way that I could understand. He then explained the possible outcomes of each approach. Robert made me feel comfortable explaining my case, and assured me he was confident we could realize the best possible outcome, considering my particular situation. Feeling comfortable with Robert and with his confident, professional demeanor, I retained his services to work on my case. Robert assured me that now he was on my team he would work hard for me and strive to get me the best possible outcome for my case. This was on a Monday. The very next day, Robert called me and reported he had great news for me. He had spoken to the District Attorney and all other entities that would be involved during the court process, and had set up for me to have my case heard and settled on Tuesday. Within 48 hours of my meeting with Robert in his office I had appeared in court, had my case herd, had the most serious charge dropped, and ended up having to pay just a few infractions related fines! In closing I would just like to say, I have been represented in a court of law at other times in my past and had never had such a tenacious, confident and professional representation! Mr. Lewin provided the best experience I could have ever hoped for. At a time of need I was able to call him in regards to a sobriety checkpoint/OUI case and he answered all my questions professionally, provided me with all my options and most importantly treated me like a human being, I can't say the same for the three other Lawyers I contacted in the northshore of Boston. I hired Bob as my defense attorney after being involved in a hit and run. He was very thorough during our consultation and collected all the facts. Even before I hired him he was giving me very insightful information and had lots of ideas on how to get me out of this jam. It turned out that there was enough evidence to suggest probable cause. Did this matter? No, because Bob was able to talk with the Police Prosecutor which resulted in the complaint not being issued against me. Even though this was a minor incident I always felt like a priority and that Bob worked hard throughout the process to win the case.
