I was referred to Jill by a friend. She has been helping me on a very complicated unemployment case which has been going on for years. It has been stressful, exhausting and frustrating and I wouldn't have been able to navigate the system without her. She is very kind, professional and knowledgeable. She always remembers the details of my case even when I don't, and she always gives me honest advice.

I wouldn't recommend Jill Havens for anybody dealing with employment discrimination. I had contacted Jill Havens in regards to a discrimination case I filed against my former employer. After sharing documents to prove that I had a valid case, Jill Havens told me that she didn't have time to look through the documents but would get back to me the following week. More than a month after discussing my case with Jill, she still hasn't reached out to at least let me know whether she would take up my case or not. A professional attorney would at least have the common decency to get back to someone to let them know they aren't willing to take up the case for whatever reason. Jill Havens wasn't willing to do that one simple task. I have since found an experienced employment attorney who was not only willing to take my case, but also believes I have a strong case against my former employer. Save yourself the time, especially if you're a person of color, and look elsewhere for legal representation.

I was plagued with a DUA problem for a year and a half and couldn't get anyone at the DUA to listen to common sense. Attorney Havens took care of it in a snap! I HIGHLY recommend!

The Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) had made a mistake on my account and said I owed them a significant amount of money. I tried to resolve this myself by writing, calling and emailing the DUA to no avail. Finally after over 2 years of failed attempts I gave up trying to fix this myself. Fortunately, I was put in touch will Jill Havens. She and I spoke once and within a matter of days my case was cleared as her one letter to them cleared everything. I now have peace of mind without this false claim hanging over me! My only regret is waiting over 2 years to call Jill. I should have done so sooner.
