Renee knows how to get the difficult job of divorce done with compassion, confidence, warmth and humor---and it turns out that I needed a lawyer with these qualities during a time when I was struggling to possess them myself. She’s incredibly quick, highly responsive, and fair with billing to boot. I recommend Renee wholeheartedly!

I can't tell you how much I owe Renee Witstien. I called her out of the blue from another state (not MA), not knowing anything about her. I just found her in the phonebook (as they used to say). It was one of the luckiest things I ever did. She listened to my story sympathetically, gave me excellent advice about what to do, and went right to work. I was really lost. Honestly, I felt helpless. But Renee was always there with an encouraging word and, more importantly, a plan. She made me feel like I was not alone. Long story short, she saved my bacon. I am very grateful to her to this day and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. If you need a family lawyer, she's the one I'd call!

Renee is wonderful to work with. I don't want to say "pitbull" because that suggests a brutishness, which is not the case, but it does accurately represent her competence, clarity and approach. I felt supported, understood, and also well managed. I hope you don't need her (unless it's something lovely like an adoption) but if you do, you'll be so glad you have her!

Renee was our MA attorney when we adopted our baby boy in 2016. She was wonderful to deal with and made our adoption process go as smoothly as possible.
