I retained Chris Saccardi to guide me through the process of evicting tenants who had stopped paying their rent. He responded within a day to my initial inquiry, and after I hired him, was almost instantly responsive to all my questions and in drafting the legal documents to get the eviction process going. His approach is calm, sensible, and knowledgeable. He clearly explained the issues and options, and what my and the tenants' rights were. I particularly valued that he helped me strategize how to communicate with the tenants in a way that kept emotions (on both sides) from escalating. As a result, we didn't need to go to trial, and the legal costs were kept to a minimum. When I found the next tenants, he looked over the lease and made some important revisions. I recommend Chris very highly, both if you are a landlord or a tenant. I was seriously considering selling my property before I found Chris, because being a landlord in MA is not easy. Knowing that I can call on him for help and advice has persuaded me that I can keep the property and be comfortable that I have the right legal expertise to protect myself.

I highly recommend Chris Saccardi's services in landlord-tenant legal matters. We had tenants in our rental property in MA who made endless demands for repairs, got the housing inspector to issue a citation, and refused to pay the remaining rent on the lease (8 months). We were out-of-state landlords which made things more difficult. After going through two other attorneys, we hired Chris to handle our case. We decided to evict these tenants. At every step of the legal proceedings, Chris: - patiently and clearly explained the options in front of us, with pros and cons - described what he thought the other side could do in response to our actions, and things usually turned out the way he anticipated - dealt with the other side's attorney skillfully and gracefully - accommodated our schedules, responded promptly to our queries and gave us sound and wise legal advice - had an eye out for costs. We felt he always had our best interests at heart - was never patronizing or pushy Most importantly, Chris helped get the tenants out of our property before the end of the lease without the need for a trial.

I had a situation where a tenant did not inform me of an issue with my property for many months and did not relay in any detail what was the sporadic issue. Instead a lawyer relative of the tenant decided to complain on their behalf in great detail with possible legal action and compensation requirements. This was after many months of an apparent issue that I had not been informed about by the non-communicative tenant. I was very concerned as it was all a big shock to me due to the long delay in the tenant communicating and I felt unsure of the next steps and what could happen to me legally. And of course I wanted to know my rights at this point in time. I needed a lawyer quickly who understood all the legal possibilities as a Landlord and as I have moved from the area I had to decide by searching online. I chose Chris based solely on all the great AVVO reviews he has had on his website and his specialty. I was able to send him detailed emails and had some lengthy conversations to get him up to speed with the correspondence I had received. Chris immediately put me at ease with his professionalism and sympathetic manner; he calmly read all my correspondence and made notes about my predicament. Chris went through all the possible scenarios and ways to handle different situations. He prepared me for all future situations but made sure we addressed all current possibilities without having to escalate the situation. For all continuing correspondence, Chris created replies and advised me on every step of the process and continued to defend my rights as a Landlord. Through Chris’s guidance I was able to resolve the issue satisfactorily. I highly recommend Chris to any Landlord/tenant who is having any kind of issue regarding leasing/renting property.
