I've said for many years if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck. After making a poor decision, I stupidly drove home one night and got arrested for OIU. I had a past conviction 32 yrs prior and the anxiety wondering what would happen was overwhelming. The courts considered this a first offense, as the prior was so long ago, and when I went to the registry I was told that I would get my license back after the 45 day suspension and the anxiety was gone. Then I received the dreaded letter from the RMV stating YEARS loss of license and I was devastated, flooded with emotions and questions...how would I work, pay the morgage, the bills?
