Marie Crossley made all the difference in achieving a positive outcome to my divorce proceedings. I retained joint custody (50/50) of my three children and the financial settlement determined by the court (child support and alimony) was less than the proposal we offered pre-trial. The process was long and erratic with lots of exaggerated claims of wrongdoing on my part. Throughout, Marie was available, responsive and level-headed. She is an expert at what she does. She knows the law, the system, the opposing attorneys and the judges. She is open to negotiation, but only for a good outcome. She is unfazed by dramatic posturing, sudden changes and unrealistic expectations. She cared about me and my children as clients, not in a schmaltzy manner, but as a professional who knew the outcome would impact my relationship with my children and our financial well being for years to come. As a caregiver for many years of a family member who had Parkinson's disease, our Licensed Clinical Social Worker at our hospital Neurology Department presented me with three names of eldercare law firms as my family member's health was declining.
I interviewed all three firms, then selected Lamson & Cutner to proceed with our eldercare requirements for help in navigating the ever changing legal requirements as to long term nursing home care when on USA Government health care insurances.
I am so happy to have found this law firm for help , my family members agree ,that it was the wisest decision for me to make.
No one can do this complicated legal work alone and it is best ,if possible to proceed with legal issues when the ill person can still understand and contibute their own desires as to what their assets distribution ,usually but not exclusivly into an Irrevocable trust, as well as critical end of life decisions to their family which should be then ultimately drawn up in legal documents by an Attorney .
As the LSCW stated to me when I hesitated thinking "I had so much time to get to this issue" ...'Don't put it off"!

The idea seemed wonderful—when a couple decided that their marriage should be dissolved, all parties would work together to achieve a non-adversarial, respectful, peaceful resolution at reasonable cost.
I was referred to the law office of Sheryl T. Friedrichs by family financial advisors for just such an experience. My spouse’s attorney, however, while wanting to stay out of court, was not familiar with the concept of Collaborative Divorce and not interested in undertaking a face-to-face interactive process.
Thus began a hybrid version of separation and property settlement negotiation. From my client viewpoint, trust by the other side was the primary issue. What were my personal motives? How much did I care about the opposite party’s outcome? Where were the resources each would need to continue a safe and comfortable single life?
It made sense that traditional legal representation would take a cautious approach. Extended time and patient, conscientious effort would be necessary to remove obstacles and reach agreements. Sheryl’s collaborative mindset, though not always reciprocated, made all the difference. As the process continued, progress accelerated and confidence was built.
In the end, a document was crafted and accepted by both parties which would make the actual divorce a formality. Working with Sheryl Friedrichs was collaborative in the best sense—people working together in good faith to a mutually beneficial finish.
I give her my wholehearted appreciation and highest possible recommendation.

If you ever find yourself in need of a knowledgeable, trusted divorce attorney who takes the utmost care for your interests, I would highly recommend contacting Ms. Sheryl Friedrichs. I acquired her services to help me navigate the minefield of an unwanted divorce. She was compassionate, well-qualified, and most helpful in walking me through the process, providing adequate time for reflection so that I could make sound decisions that were in my best interests. In handling my case (mind you I live out of state), there was a night and day difference in the handling of the proceedings from that of the opposing attorney. This restored my faith that divorce lawyers are not all cut from the same cloth. Ms. Friedrichs did not miss a beat. She was always organized, prompt and courteous. She followed through on every commitment from researching court files and spotting my ex's complaint and affidavit inconsistencies and errors which she promptly addressed to representing my at the refinance closing of the shared property with my ex which involved the added security of ensuring the mortgage was paid and paper receipt was delivered to me. I cannot say ENOUGH great things about Attorney Antavius Weems! He is a BOSS in EVRY sense of the word. I hired Atty Weems when my company was experiencing some growing pains. I must admit that I had not done a great job in keeping things in order (which is why I had to retain Weems) but I thank God for sending Weems my way. The craziest thing is that I actually met him in line at a concert! We began talking after I eavesdropped on his phone call to a client....I remarked to him, 'You're the kind of Atty I need....answering calls in the middle of a concert' Atty Weems response was 'im your guy then'....and he was telling NO LIE. He came in, cleaned up the frivolous litigation that we had, and allowed us to move forward into our 8th location. His staff is top notch too! I CANNOT THANK HIM ENOUGH! I am incredibly happy to write this review of MY Attorney, Antavius Weems. When I first learned of Atty Weems was through the tv show Braxton Family Values, where he represents Toni Braxton and her family. Once I got him to represent me, i knew i had made the right decision. In addition to sharing an Atty with Superstars like Toni Braxton, Trina Braxton, Angie Stone and Karlie Redd, I was mesmerized by Antavius' command and recall of the law. I was thinking wow, does he study this stuff in his sleep?? And just as EVERYONE here has stated, he IS a PIT BULL I n the Courtroom. He is not to be played with. Imagine walking into a Courtroom with a Dictionary, a thesaurus, a pit bull, a security guard, and of course, a legal scholar--I've just described my experience with Attorney Antavius Weems. I cannot say enough how protected and cared for I felt by he and his team. I had heard wonderful things about Attorney Weems and his legal skills from a friend of mine who hired him, so I thought I would give him a try. Now I brag about him more than my friend. She had to remind me that he was her Lawyer first! I just felt incredibly protected during my entire case. He was concerned, informed and prepared. His entire staff makes you feel the same way he does (special kudos to his Office Mgr, Ms. Finch!) What I really liked was watching how he has such an amazing command of the law! I have never seen anyone rattle off legal cases and laws like I saw with Weems. My impression was that he either had memorized all of this stuff for my case, or he already knew it...Either way I was fine with it, and I benefited from his knowledge. The Judge gave us most of what we had asked for, and although I was incredibly happy, Attorney Weems was still a little upset that we didnt get everything that we had asked for! Working with Kate was an exercise in professionalism and competency. From the first phone inquiry until the dissolution was granted, Kate was frank and to the point. As a pragmatic person myself, having advise that was rooted in experience and reality was key in her ability to build trust and confidence. Her focus was always on what the best solution would be for my boys and I. Even though I felt the judgements weren’t always fair or equitable, Kate helped me realize that I did, in fact, get the absolute best outcome under the circumstances surrounding my divorce. I don’t usually leave 5-star reviews, but in the context of such weighty topics as divorce, child support, custody agreements, and so on, Kate truly deserves an excellent rating. I have used Attorney Skipper on three occasions to handle probate matters dealing with my family. The process was handled with step by step instructions from her to follow. Everything was handled professionally, down to the closing of the probate matter. Everything that she instructed me that she would be filing, etc., she did it in a timely manner. She is very caring and supportive, especially in handling the affairs of a deceased member. Matters of this kind can be stressful, but she took the stress out of it. I will certainly use her for any future legal matters that I may have.

I had called a variety of attorneys to tell my story. I could not find anyone to hear me. The hunt group came as a recommendation. When I called his office. Mr hunt took the time to hear my entire story. He was so sympathetic. He said let me think about how I can help you and call you by the end of the day. I thought to my self. He was just trying to be nice. He DID call me back at the end of the day with positive news. He spent the time in the afternoon to contact a few contacts that he had. And found another attorney to partner with him to hear my case. He suggested we come to his office at 4:30 on the same day he said he would call me back. He partnered with another attorney. They took my case.. The hunt firm was easy to work with. Excellent communication and follow up. Fair priced! Bill personally was a compassionate, sympathetic a real person to work with and talk too. My faith in the California judicial system and my absolute belief in the integrity of law enforcement was shattered 6/2010 when I was arrested for delivering cannabis to medically qualified patients. I followed California state law, paid taxes, and was very up front with local politicians. None of that mattered. Solano county said "No medical marijuana here, we don't care what California state law is.". True to their word I was arrested, my husband was arrested and we came home from dinner surrounded by guys in bullet proof vests. NEVER had I been in any trouble before (I was 50 yrs old at time) and I was TERRIFIED! After much research and after speaking to a number of attorneys I decided to trust Omar and it was definitely the best decision! His education, knowledge and experience is outstanding. It took a few years to get through this mess and he was with me the whole time. Anyone who is knowlegeable of Solano County's position on MMJ, and especially in Vacaville, knows this was a very difficult battle. Thanks Omar! Hire him, you will be very glad you did!

I was arrested in Sausalito CA for possession of 167 pounds of cannabis and 3 ½ grams of ecstasy. I thought my life was over and I was preparing myself for jail. I researched a dozen lawyers, interviewed three and then I found Omar.
Within minutes of our first meeting I felt there might be some hope and I knew he was the person I needed to work with. He was professional, very smart and easy to talk to. After we started working together I also realized he has integrity and is highly respected among his peers.
Omar coached me through every part of the process. I never had any uncertainty going into court. His office support staff is thorough and outstanding.
After an eight month process I was awarded three years felony probation with a good chance after probation the felony will be reduced so it doesn't show on my record. Yes, no jail time, just probation!
It even gets better. During sentencing Omar argued that I still be allowed to drink alcohol and use medical cannabis while on probation and the judge agreed. My probation officer told me he has never seen anyone on probation allowed these privileges.
The only mistake you can make hiring Omar is not listing to his coaching. I am one GRATEFUL client.
