I would recommend Patrick Barone without hesitation. I was involved in a driving while impaired situation, which was both scary and disorienting given that I have never been in any previous trouble before in my life. I became calm and confident in the process through Patrick’s careful review of all facts pertaining to my individual case, discussion of the various possible outcomes and options going forward, and joint development of a going forward strategy. All of this was important to me. I was able to trust Patrick’s obvious expertise, rely on his candid assessments, and his patience to explain everything thoroughly, including answering my numerous questions. He left decision making up to me, but gave me the sound advice needed to come to the best decisions. I was confident in the preparation of my case by him and his firm being done very professionally, as well as his advocacy on my behalf. Actions by the court were never a surprise and usually well predicted by Patrick, and at the end of the process, I felt that we achieved the best possible outcome. After doing my research and consulting with several people I know within the industry, it became clear quickly that Patrick was the guy that I needed to represent me. He was able to obtain very favorable bond conditions (I didn’t have to pay a dime, I was able to go back to my home state), and I obtained a very favorable sentencing (I pleaded guilty) from a judge considered as the toughest in the oakland circuit court. At the court, everybody knows Patrick, from the clerk’s office, the probation department, to the judges who do listen to him. Bottom line, retaining Patrick was an excellent investment and money well spent. Being charged with a DUI (especially with a 2nd) is an extremely stressful experience and nothing is more frustrating than feeling you could have had a better outcome.
