Called to explore using to update our wills and asked for an estimate. Even if just a ball-park idea. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit for an evaluation to get any idea how much for the investment costs. We found several other law firms who either were upfront with their estimates or gave a free consultation so will use one of them. Feels a little scammy to insist on payment before telling your clients how much for your services.
