So I called about a small claims case and was told they don’t take a small claims case but on the day of the hearing , the defendants attorney is from Legal Aid of Western Michigan . The defendant counterclaim me for $6,500. Can anyone explain this as I don’t know what’s going on ? I have this attorneys name listed in the mail that I received from the district .

We had an out of state depo in Grand Rapids and there were last minute location changes, videographers, and RUSH document deliveries to hotels to be made. Collin handled each request with speed and professionalism and went above and beyond to meet our needs. I believe this is a good place for someone to call that needs legal help that has low income unfortunately for me I don't qualify. Please if you need legal representation and you have no money to afford an attorney may it be a civil matter or an eviction matter or even a divorce or family matter give them a call they will work for you not against you
