If you are in need of help with VA, I would highly recommend Casey Walker and VA Disability Group. I met Casey, about 2 1/2 years ago when he reviewed and took my case. Casey was always knowledgeable about dealing with the VA. Being a person who had been dealing with trying to get compensation for my service connected disease for 15+years, I learned real quick that Casey is a real advocate for Veterans. How many lawyers are recent veterans that used to work in the VA? At least one, CASEY! By pure serendipity I was introduced to Casey by another veteran. I retired from 27 years of military service on AD and the Guard. I had several problems that the VA initially denied and some they wouldn’t even acknowledge. I thought the Taliban and IRS were difficult to deal with until I tried to navigate the VA process by myself. DON’T beat your head against that VA wall. Casey used to work for the VA. He knows the process better than anyone. That insider knowledge is crucial to your claim or appeal. He did both of mine. The end results were beyond my expectations after years of denials and suffering through lingering injuries. His rates were the fairest I have come across and worth every penny in saving me my time and frustration. The final rating was beyond what I thought would be possible after all that time. I have been working with Mr. Walker going on about two years now. I have had a great experience Mr. Walker and his staff are easy to work with. Communication is great and within the last year and half I have had positive results. I was in an appeal that was going in 11 year's and Mr. Walker was able to obtain a positive outcome. It is very hard to gauge or get a good feel for an attorney for representation when it is all via email and telephone. I gambled and did my research the best I could and absolutely have NO Regrets!!! Casey's agency was extremely helpful and easy to work with. I worked with Derek for my claim and he and Shauna were incredibly responsive, able to deal with the VA straightforwardly, and communicated throughout the process. I served 26 years in the Army and when I retired from active duty received an initial rating. I had a pleasure with working with Derek Dee he is awesome and he was there for me through the whole process. I’m so forever grateful for him and his staff. I can’t say thank you enough. I’m very very thankful. In 2004 I was separated from the military with no help from the military. My mental illness, pain, amongst other things has been a battle. I was in a very bad accident and because of the accident and other injuries from the military I was no longer to continue service. So the army put me out with no help. I went to the VA three times for help after service .. I was turned down twice and on the third time in 2013 which was 9 years later I was granted healthcare and 10% for my back. Throughout the last 7 years I gained service connection for other things but it was a hard fight. I couldn’t keep jobs, I was in an out of treatment and I’m still am to this day. I thought I would never see a 100% VA rating. Derek Dee and the staff here helped me obtain this rating. This has made me feel better knowing I have healthcare still that I need and compensation to live on. It’s been a long journey from 2004. I wish I knew of Derek Dee and VA disability group back then. I had a great experience with VA Disability Group. I was initially denied several conditions and given a rating of 50%. Through appeals and new filings that I did not know I was eligible for, they helped me get my proper rating of 100%. They kept me updated on the whole process so I wasn't left wondering for months while the VA made a decision. And since the increase, even with back payments, were technically new filings, which they do pro bono, it cost me nothing. I would definitely recommend them.
