I retained Heather Hamilton to help me respond to a motion for modified child support. First, the hearing was scheduled in the wrong court. It was not Heather's mistake, but she did not notice it was in the wrong court until it was pointed out to her by a judge. I was charged for the time it took to fix this mistake and reschedule the hearing. Six months and thousands of dollars later, I have little to show for what I paid out to this law firm. They basically sent emails, scheduled/rescheduled hearings, submitted an affidavit I wrote, and attended a hearing during which nothing was accomplished, requiring yet another hearing. While Heather seemed like she was righteously indignant on my behalf, she was not effective in settling outside of court or in representing my interests in the hearing. I am really disappointed in the way my case played out. I expected more for the amount of money I paid. At the end of the day, no one here cares about resolving your case or in seeking justice against deadbeat dads. It's just about how much money they can charge you and how long they can drag things out to charge more.

Heather was the lawyer I worked with through my divorce, and even with an ex husband who was scary to deal with at times Heather made the whole experience go as best it could.
