Family law is incredibly nuanced and difficult to navigate without help. I won’t sugar coat it, there are tactics that many parents use in the legal system that are immoral and down right nasty. It took a while for me to find this firm. Let me save you that time. Me. Andrea and her team are absolutely amazing. They are honest about the realities and difficulties but also exhaust every legal and ethical means to do what is right by their clients. I could not be happier with the representation. I went from feeling helpless about even having a relationship with my kids due to my former spouse’s shenanigans to having joint custody and equal parenting time. Kaitlyn Andren was always upfront and accurate about the odds in the case and still found a way to beat the odds. If you are a quality parent who wants to protect your rights as a parent, regardless of gender or role, this team can do wonders for your case. I couldn’t recommend Terzich and Ort more. Worth every penny and will adjust their operation to help manage your legal budget. 5 stars are not enough.

We had a difficult time finding an attorney appropriate for our situation, but our search ended when we met Jodi. She listened to our story and seemed to immediately understand the personality we were dealing with. Her office staff was all-around efficient, friendly, and helpful when I had any questions. I have especially appreciated Jodi's natural ability to filter responses of the OP to me and to join me in my fight for what's best for my children. She has been just what we needed in an attorney to achieve the security we were looking for.

Jodi and her staff are exceptional and unwavering in what they stand for and are about. They provide superior legal advice that is backed by law (not opinion). Could not recommend them highly enough. They remained consistent, focused and spoke to me in terms I could understand.

You do not allow sufficient characters for me to adequately describe how highly I think of Terzich and Ort, LLP and all employed thereby. Of the help Ms. Terzich (and all of her team) has provided my family - over the course of 15 odd years - I could fill a book with odes of thanks.

I had the unfortunate experience of being involved in a high conflict divorce. My initial attorney was not particularly responsive and she seemed more interested in making sure that my ex's lifestyle was maintained post-divorce than discussing/protecting my lifestyle post-divorce. My initial attorney was also not particularly responsive, as several very important questions that I had emailed to her went unanswered. When I decided to retain a new attorney, a friend strongly recommended Jody Terzich based on his very positive experience with his high conflict divorce. I called Jody, but she was on vacation and she did not return my call for 10 days. Because I was impatient, I retained a different attorney who claimed to specialize in high conflict divorces before Jody called me back (she did and she was very polite/professional). Although I have not ever worked with Jody, I will believe that my decision to not wait for Jody to return my phone call was probably the worst decision that I made during my divorce. Unfortunately, attorney#2 was even worse than attorney#1 and six months later I was even more desperate for competent legal counsel. I again called Terzich and Ort; this time, Shannon was available for an initial consult/discussion, so I met with her. I cannot recommend Shannon Ort strongly enough as a family lawyer. She was polite, responsive, smart, and professional at all times. I am guessing that my case was more difficult than most because my first two attorneys made numerous mistakes and opposing counsel was high combative and very difficult (I'd describe opposing counsel as the dirty, slimy people that are the butt of every "lawyer joke"). Shannon advised me through all aspects of my very difficult divorce. Her services were worth every penny as she calmed all of my fears and concerns, most of which were rooted in my poor, prior legal counsel. She politely rebuked me when I had some hair-brained legal idea when she needed to do so (she is not a "yes lawyer") but she also accepted my input when I had a good legal idea. During trial, she was similarly fantastic. She is smart on her feet and she was able to get an immediate resolution on one of the four issues before the judge when my ex misspoke during trial. She also "refused to take the bait" when opposing counsel repeatedly slung mud at me during trial; instead, Shannon remained calm, polite, and professional. You might find it somewhat weird that I am emphasizing Shannon's professionalism, but it was a striking contrast to opposing counsel who was abrasive, obnoxious, and combative. I still have not yet received the judge's ruling on my divorce, but I am certain that Shannon provided the absolute best legal counsel possible during what was a very difficult divorce. Shannon's post-trial submission to court is, in my non-legal opinion, a very strong and convincing document, particularly compared to opposing counsel's document.

Kaitlyn was so great to work with. She was easy to talk to, very thorough, supportive, and knowledgeable. This was the third attorney I hired since I divorced my ex-wife in 2016, and I wish I could have started with her initially. I'll continue to retain her whenever I need an attorney.

I have been on my divorce process for over a year. Jodi T was completely unprofessional, no responsive, and providedtprovided poor advicw. At times I felt I was battling two lawyers ( my own and my ex's lawyer). I spent upper $30ks and did not even finalize my divorce with Jodi. I had to changed lawyers to obtain results. I then hire Jack Waltz and got divorce within few weeks. If you go with this firm stay away from Jodi. I worked for Google and deal with lawyers a lot and I have never seen such a lack of professionalism and advocacy, no to mention the mistakes made in my case that led to setting an OFP with no findings without proper explanation on the implication on my child custody. I hired this firm because the TV commercial and the reviews on Google, but perhaps the other lawyers are good. No in my case. Divorce is draining and emotionally exhausting, so make sure you have someone by your side that will advocate, be responsive, be your ally and provide the best advice and that person I assure is not Jodi T. No in my case.
