I came to McFay and Associates after an injury report I filed with my employer of 17 years left me high and dry when it's workman's comp insurance company declined to cover my injury sustained from workplace repetitive motion on my thumbjoints and wrists. I then was faced with the choice then of going back to my job and work with the ongoing terrible pain from this chronic injury or find a new job. After my denial from my employers workman's compensation insurance company I received a letter in the mail from the state of Minnesota's workman's comp agency stating I could file an appeal and get one of the state appointed lawyers to represent me. Honestly that sounded like such a crazy winding process I decided to hire Eric Nelson from McFay & associates after getting a referral from a reliable source. I can not tell you how relieved I was through this entire process Eric took me through. Eric took the time to explain every single step of the way, and his associate Scott Johnson took the time to answer all my questions and phone calls as we went and kept me up to date of the process and where we were. I was concerned about income and a job despite the treatment, therapy and ultimate surgery **which I had to have two years later. ** ( added this long after this review and had to indeed have the surgery as mentioned below). I made my choice to quit my job of 17 years and to stop the injury from continuing, I had no other viable choice. I found a new job just prior to hiring Eric and so thankfully the injury was not aggravated at that point. It was completely a different type of work -but- less pay. Eric was my God send, for this I am always going to be thankful. He knows His area of expertise. The settlement outcome was amazing and now I can relax knowing I have coverage for a future surgery if the ongoing treatments I am currently getting stop being effective, and more therapy should I need it plus lost income on wage differential.
