Cortney acted as my attorney in my recent divorce. She did a great job helping me and my ex-spouse structure the divorce in the cooperative manner we desired. She was very amenable to letting us work out the details while at the same time providing helpful guidance and looking out for my interests to make sure I knew all of the consequences of certain aspects of the agreement. I knew that if need be, she would be my strong advocate in the process and make sure the settlement was fair for me. She communicated with me clearly about the steps in the process, the work she was doing, and what she needed from me, without over communicating. She used email, phone, and in person meetings as appropriate based on the needs of the conversation and complexity of the content. Cortney was recommended by two different friends who are both also lawyers, and I can see why. She did a terrific job, was always professional, and worked with me to make sure I got what I needed.
