My late husband and I secured the services of Yanowitz Law PLLC in 1996 with the recommendation of a neighbor. My husband passed away in 2009; the services from Claire were excellent in making changes to the will and trust in the interest of our daughter. Usually a person doesn't work on a will or trust until some life-changing event occurs. In my case, it was the death of my brother Mike, who had been my primary beneficiary. I gave a lot of thought to how my estate should be distributed to family members and charities before I called to make the appointment with Claire Yanowitz, so I was ready to have a professional conversation with her. Claire is an outstanding lawyer, knowledgeable, sympathetic, smart, observant. We conversed for an hour, and she took notes on my fiscal wants and needs. A couple of weeks later, I had a draft of what became my trust and pour-over-will. A second meeting, also for an hour, finalized everything. Claire was receptive to changes and additions and changes, and at one point she even called my financial planner to discuss some of the finer points of a family bequest. The whole process was relatively easy, cost effective, and reassuring. I am now testate and satisfied with the decisions and choices I made, guided by Claire at each step of the way. I recommend the Yanowitz Law Firm if you are in need of a new will or trust, or an update of an existing one. You will leave her office with peace of mind and a solid legal document.
