When I was injured in a car accident by being rear ended, my life was changed and the medical and therapy bills began to pile up. Upon being released by my doctors after 1 1/2 years of treatment, I tried to settle with one of the large property and casualty insurance companies. I wasn't looking to break the bank, but wanted my medical bills paid for and some consideration for pain and suffering.
