When it came to business they were awesome. They explained every question I have had.

It took about seven years to get my disability approved. There were ups & downs throughout the process. I had a fill-in attorney at one point in my journey for Mr. Driskill, whom I did not appreciate whatsoever. But in the long haul, Mr. Driskill was there for me, stood by me 95% of the time, and we finally reached success! So, if you have patience and are looking for an attorney's office, reach out to Burnett and Driskill.

I was already with a different disability firm for 5.5 years and I kept getting denied and they would appeal. I would always have to call them to see where my case was. The communication was awful! Then I receive a letter from them on December 16th, 2020 basically letting me go, saying they would not file any more appeals. It was up to the Federal appeal level. I only had 3 weeks to find an attorney, that could even file on the federal level. I met with Kyle Sciolaro and Mr. Driskell together. Mr. Driskell said Kyle was interested in taking my case! Kyle was so patient and listened with great detail. He explained how the process works and he knew it very well. I felt very comfortable from day 1 with him. He filed, sent me copies, and let me know it takes along time. He always would check in with me. This was a complete 180 from the "Other Company" I had been dealing with. Kyle then received a call from the Federal Appeals Council saying they would NOT be fighting it and I would be given a new court date! After 5 months we got a date! I went back to the office several times to go review my case with him. Kyle is very detailed and really researches. Kyle met me in Topeka (on the court date) and explained every step of how the court room. He was very prepared, and the judge said he was ready to move on with his decision! Fully Favorable! We won! Finally, it has been 7 years! I didn't think we would get a decision on that day! I honestly think, If I had Kyle assisting me on filling out the first application I would have been approved. He is a Rock Star!

Brittany and the team at BurnettDriskill were wonderful to deal with. Their excellent communication, attention to detail, and professionalism made my difficult situation much less stressful. I was referred here because I was told this was a great company. What I can say is Derrick Pierce is very unprofessional and rude. When I tried to talk with him about an error that was made on his paralegals part he had the nerve to dismiss me and not allow me to speak. Every time I tried to speak he cut me off. Because I had evidence that I was correct and they were not he said I was never allowed to use them again. Even though the legal agreement says we can work out issues mutually. He did not follow the Burnett and Driskell commitment with me and if this is how they are being represented I will not be referring anyone to them. There has to be another law firm in the area with better professionalism! PSA I don’t recommend Derrick Pierce if you want to be treated with respect, courtesy, compassion, professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness. The disability process is stressful enough!
