This was the worst experience of my life. I had absolute trust in her and she turned on me in court..I am still trying to undo what she convinced me could eventually be modified. She hurt me and my children while my P.O.S. wife who left our family behind did everything i told Leigh she would do...She has a healthy bank account while i am bankrupt and effectively homeless and may have to give up my visitation..

We recently worked with a reputable agent and broker to sell our house. We had known this person very well and this person had helped us buy the same house few years ago. But after we received the offer on our house ( before the open house also), our agent became very nervous and would not allow us to negotiate at all and it seemed that our agent was not our side at all. It became a very tense situation - it seemed that the agents were creating more distrust between the sellers and buyers and we were being put in a fey risky situation with our situation being revealed to the buyers. We called Marc as a last option and he reviewed our transaction thoroughly and then represented our interests in the transaction. He really calmed us , reduced the stress levels and we were able to close on time as planned. He was very thorough and was able to give us all options along with a legal point of view.

Marc and his staff are on top of their game. They are not only attentive to the client needs but also respond quickly. They are my go to firm for non litigation matters.

David Lacks handled my divorced at minimal cost and continued to inform me over a period of many years of my ex-husband's law suit and the resulting decisions, again, at a minimal fee.

Recently, we were working with a reputable buyer's agent and broker to buy our dream home. When we finally signed a contract on a house, we began to sense that our agent was not fully on our side for several issues. We felt we were being threatened with being in breach with nobody there to protect us or take our side. I reached out to Marc, babbled my story as I was truly upset, and he had a pulse on the situation almost instantly, and even commented that after reviewing the full contract and other communications that indeed he would approach this situation much differently to protect our rights. Marc stepped in and addressed our concerns. He presented an option that allowed us to close and protect our interests and was still agreeable to the seller. For the first time since signing our purchase contract, my wife and I felt well-represented and protected. If you are buying or selling a home, or otherwise need a real estate attorney, no matter the issue, Marc is wonderful. We will use him on any future real estate transaction. Thanks Marc!

When I met with David Lacks, I entered his office and waited as he was late for the appointment and I could hear him on the phone upset because he was having issues with some line of credit he had applied for; but they were requesting information from him and he was highly agitated. He was complaining about how they were making it difficult to do business with him and this went on for about ten minutes before I was greeted. I was then greeted by David, no receptionist or secretary at all in the office. He gave me a clip board and asked me to fill out the information for him and to sign and acknowledge it at the bottom. This seemed harmless at the time. Then I met with him in total for about 30 - 40 minutes. I left and let him know that I would get back to him about taking on the case. Nothing at all was discussed as far as any kind of hourly rate, nor was there a discussion about being charged for simply talking to him about taking the case when I was in the office. He relayed in order to handle the case in its entirety, it would be a 750 dollar retainer. I decided not to move forward with David Lacks. Instead I went with different law firm. I was warned that David Lacks overbills and asks for small retainers but before you know it, you're billed like crazy and owe an astronomical amount. I notified him in writing via email immediately that I was not going to proceed with him and to send me a bill for his time. I received an email from him with just a number $250. No actual bill was ever sent per my request. This was in March of 2017. He mailed a bill to my old address in August of 2017, which I never received. Which was FIVE months after meeting. He then sent my information to a collection agency. Mind you, not one phone call, not one Email was sent to me by this collection agency, who for comedy purposes happens to be located in my same office building. Not one email nor phone call from David Lacks was made to me after the one email that I had received once before, which was not a bill. I find out about this by getting served because this man takes me to court over $250 dollars. That's right, I was billed $250 dollars for a consultation that was all of 40 minutes maximum. I attempted to pay the amount immediately upon finding this out, but they would NOT let me pay the bill and are forcing me to go into court to resolve it. Clearly this attorney is hard up for money to file for 250 dollars. It’s just bad business to immediately take someone to court without reaching out at all, not one call. Consultations are typically free, but I guess not when you're desperate for money. I would not recommend David Lacks to represent anyone ever again after this experience. By the way, that harmless clipboard application that he makes you feel out is what he considers an engagement letter. It is far from harmless and you should not fill this out when you're just meeting to discuss possibly having someone take on a case. Lesson learned. I firmly and very strongly do not recommend attorney David Lacks. This is beyond irrational behavior and for an attorney to come after their own client for such a minimal amount, everyone should be aware and avoid.

Marc stepped in and helped me with what was a difficult and deeply personal severance agreement. He was there for me above and beyond our business arrangement and because of his integrity and dedication, he is now my attorney of record. Because of this, I would highly recommend him. Marc does what is right for his clients, you cannot ask for more than that.

This was our first venture into owning a franchise business so to anyone who is about to go through the process of negotiating a commercial lease do not hesitate to contact Marc Jacob, throughout the lease negotiation process he along with his assistant Andrea made us feel confident we had a professional and knowledgeable team behind us, great communication coupled with knowledge and experience that was fully utilized on many occasions during the negotiation process left us secure in the knowledge we were well taken care of. To those on the fence about negotiating a lease yourself or hiring an attorney to do so, do not underestimate how difficult understanding and negotiating a lease can be and the potential financial implications, Marc was an unbelievable asset to have on our side and I advise you to get his team on board.
