Jonathan has represented me a number of times over the years, and sometimes regarding very sensitive issues. I have always felt that he handled my cases extremely well and in the most professional manner, leading to positive results each and every time. It is obvious to me that Jonathan takes a great deal of pride in his work and cares about his clients as individuals - always available to talk or meet when needed, and extremely responsive. It is a pleasure to work with Jonathan and I would recommend him to anyone in need of his services without reservation.

Jonathan Marks was probably the worst choice I've ever made in hiring an attorney. Over the course of just a few months of "retainer based services"), he Completely ignored a business issue I brought to him (and paid handsomely for in retainers!), which brought an end to my (formerly rapidly expanding) business of 4 years (and over 1mm$ in G/R); Allowed himself to be entangled in a severe conflict of interest (representing two or more parties with directly conflicting or contradictory interests - you can only serve ONE master, as the saying goes!): this conflict was "resolved" at MY expense, but quietly and without me noticing until it was FAR and away too late to do anything about it; Failed to appear at court or file the appropriate paperwork on time, which resulted in me getting strikes on my license for a minor ticket, as well as 4 arrests, as he never seemed to be able to properly "clear" the warrant HE had created by failing to just do what he charged (damn near $1,000.00!!!) for; And lastly, his "billing practices" would make L. Ron Hubbard (the founder of the fake religion/cult of $cientology), blush with embarrassment. I should have listened to the Judge and filed a bar complaint - unfortunately, I was just too burned out at that point to care: because of my failure to pursue a complaint, I hope I was not responsible for anyone else getting shafted by this smooth talking but ultimate charlatan.

This review is 2 months overdue. The staff of the Marks Law Firm are remarkable!!!! Mr. Marks, from the first interaction, displayed professionalism, thorough knowledge of topic, and he answered all of my questions presented. His Associate to the firm, Amy Bender-Levy, is equally impressive. She also continuously progressed our objectives in the right direction. The case was an Interstate Custody Modification which was not easy of nature. There were many obstacles and headaches throughout the proceedings. For instance, written depositions of 74 questions presented by opposing counsel, dispelling child abuse allegations, etc. The other party found numerous methods of adding stress (e.g. fabrications) and strain both financially and to our emotional well-being. The custody process at times seemed to cast a shadow over our children's milestones that should have been relished. Nevertheless, the case never appeared daunting to the "A Team"; they relentlessly pressed forward. The opposing party had "unclean hands"; hence, a contempt of court was filed. This firm had a goal to seek out "the best interests of my children." This desire came to fruition. I am blessed with 2 children awakening me every morning with those all too common words, "What's for breakfast mom?" The end result of the well versed and VERY seasoned Mr. Marks.

I highly recommend Jonathan Marks as an attorney to represent you if a family law attorney is needed. Jonathan came highly recommended to me and I was not disappointed one bit. Of course all attorney's handle multiple cases at one time, however with Jonathan he always made me feel I was his only - and most important client. This evident in his quick response time to me if needed as well as full knowledge of my particular situation. In my situation my ex-spouse and I appeared to be far apart, and perhaps heading towards a trial - which with a family and children involved was not something I wanted to do. Jonathan was able to use his skills to negotiate what was a fair and acceptable solution to both parties, thus avoiding a trial. Just as Jonathan was recommended to me, I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend him to others.

Jonathan discussed every aspect of my case with patience and consideration, addressing all my questions and educating me about the process. He took the time to understand my dynamics and family background. Most importantly, throughout this 1.5 year process, he has remained cognizant of the needs of my children and has worked towards achieving the goals while respecting my values. Jonathan is very meticulous in his work and has been very approachable with any questions or concerns related to the case throughout this process. He is honest and straightforward about what one can expect from a case and advocates his clients towards a meaningful outcome. While the family law matters are emotionally driven, he kept me focussed on the goals while keeping the playing field levelled. I have been very pleased with my experience with his law firm and would recommend Jonathan to anyone without any hesitation.

I hired Jonathan becausey ex-wife was refusing one of my scheduled visitation. At the time I lived in a different state then my child. During my divorce I had hired an attorney that was leaving her firm. I did not know about this at the time. All she wanted to do was get my case over with so she could start her new job. Neadless to say I ended up with a very bad aggrement. I spoke to Jonathan about my current agreement when I was discussing the visitation problem. Jonathan let me know it would be in my best interest to move back to Missouri so he could modify my agreement. Jonathan is a very honest and straight forward attorney. He told me what to expect and that is exactly what I got and more. My previous attorney said I was going to get all this stuff that never happened so I was very relieved with the outcome of my case. I would recommend Jonathan over any other attorney in St. Louis.

The man has a way of seeing right through a case! He has helped me get custody of my daughter, looked over various contracts/wills and recently helped advise against polygraphs that were recommended by St. Louis detectives. He's made a huge impact on my family's quality of life! From Family law, criminal defense and looking over various contracts, justice has always prevailed!
