I had Attorney John Young for my lawyer. He was wonderful, I always felt that he was looking out for my best interest but he told me that he worked for me and he would do what I felt was the right decision. I would highly recommend John Young.

Voicing a complaint against their "Customer Care" division. Five unanswered voice mails! No response whatsoever! Attempting to contact them regarding a refund due and am hitting a brick wall. When you do manage to actually reach a person, they are rude and uncooperative. Very frustrating!!!

Amy Newell was my attorney in a matter regarding an order of protection. She managed to get it dismissed with a legal strategy that was amazingly brilliant since the petitioner didn't stand a chance during the hearing. Amy's knowledge of the law was astounding and simply put, it blew me away. Now although I admit legal fees can be expensive at this firm, the Stange Law Firm is well worth those expenses because they are amazing at delivering great results for your case. I didn't think they could for mine, but they did.
I think John Young and Amy Newell are very good lawyers. So with that being said, you will not choose wrong if you choose them to help you in a family law matter.

Nicholas Lunnen was completely incompetent. When you reach for an attorney you are reaching out of desperation during one of the most painful scary original moments of your life. You are looking for hope. For help. Nicholas told us he would fight for our daughter. Then when he got on the stand he was silent. He said and did nothing. And we lost our daughter. She lost the only person left that could have been her voice to keep her safe. He says he fights for families, but I know of a 2yr old little girl that is scared, confused and traumatized bc he chose not to fight for her.

Nicholas Lunnen represented me in the Springfield, MO office. He listened to my questions and answered them promptly, and he always provided a calm response when I was frustrated. He worked hard for me and was always prepared.

Hi, I went to strange law for my divorce. I had a restraining order against my husband for both my son and I. I was a housewife so I did not have the funds needed to get an attorney. Luckily my parents were able to get me the retainer fee (because they don’t like injustice). Mr. Young in my initial consultation assured me that within two weeks maximum that they would put in two motions. One for temporary support and the other for legal fees. I made it clear that the money I obtained form my parents was a loan. He literally assured me that this would be done quickly. I was passed down to an associate of the firm (whom was a great person) but I feel that somewhere along the way that things were lost in translation among the attorneys as far as the expectations promised and the actual outcome. What was to be a simple motion for temporary maintenance and attorney fees, extended for over two months and somehow my fees amounted to an assuburent amount of 17k??? Of course when we finally got to meet with the judge, opposing counsel was outraged at the amount of the attorney fees that was being requested. I was wondering why opposing counsel was questioning the attorney fees and why the judge withheld attorney fees until the end of my divorce. So long story short I could not afford the exuberant fees (I wasn’t going to submit my parents to the other parties games) and if I’m not mistaken that wasn’t even including the money I put down. I had to find another attorney (Brett Schneider) who actually listened to me and was very upfront. No promises that could not be met and no exuberant fees. The amount I was being billed with Stange Law was more fitting for a trial then to file two motions for temporary maintenance and attorney fees. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that none of it made sense. I don’t blame opposing counsel for being outraged with the fees, I would be too. And at the end I was pretty much told that in order for them to continue working on my case they needed a big portion of the attorney fees paid in order for them to continue representing me or they would have to drop me as a client. Serioulsy just because you are attorneys, there should be some form of ethics. i requested an itemized billing which I never got. I am referring to opposing counsel too (not every person is the same, so you shouldn’t judge one bad Apple and automatically assume that we all have the same motives, especially if you don’t know the whole story). Anyhow I do not recommend this firm to anyone. They promise you things that they shouldn’t, especially to those they feel are desperate. And when they know you can’t pay (I wasn’t going to pay 17k, not even half), they practically tell you they will need to drop you. They should refund me the money paid, since they were very misleading in their representation. Very unprofessional in my opinion. You can take your chances, but be warned!
