I recommend Greg Lake if you are needing representation in matters of family law. I don’t know how to begin to communicate everything Greg Lake and his paralegal, Sydney did for my case. (At that time Greg was practicing at different Law Firm.) When he first took on my case, I had just stopped service with another attorney. Because of some bad advice from that attorney, I had started a litigation against my ex-wife that would have most likely done nothing to help my case and would have frustrated the Judge. I had previously won custody of my kids at trial, but my ex refused to work with me and usually worked vindictively against any sort of healthy co-parenting. She promised she would keep me in court until she got custody of the kids, and she had for four years, until I hired Greg. Greg worked with my case and was calm and relaxed, bringing a sense of authority with him into the hearings and the trial. He was able to get the facts out in the open in a way the Judge could hear them and my ex’s attorney was not able to refute. I experienced a big difference between my previous attorney and Greg. With my previous attorney I was putting in twelve or more hours a day at times writing and rewriting things and searching my evidence and documentation for specific instances and items all the time, even providing transcripts of recordings and then summaries of the transcripts, most of which never appeared in court or used in arguing my case. It seemed like I was having to carry the case both in preparation and in the courtroom, often reminding my attorney of the facts of the case. Greg needed me pull some things together and give to him, understandably, and I was happy to do it. He simply told me what he needed, and I made it available to him, but the work I did was not exhausting at all. What a difference that was! Sydney was also very prompt and helpful with her responsiveness. She was honest in what she was not able to advise me in and quickly got me a response from Greg. This was also very different from my previous attorney’s paralegal who didn’t communicate very quickly and sometimes gave me advice that ended up hurting my case. With Greg, I had the feeling throughout that he knew exactly where he was going and what he needed for the case. Even though I had been previously told my case quite difficult and it had been often-challenged in Court, Greg handled the issues with professionalism, respect, and well-thought-out strategies that help to simplify the complex and bring clarity as he presented it to the Court. At the end of the trial, in November 2022, the Judge not only ruled in my favor but also instructed my ex not to bring these kinds of matters back to court, this was due in no small part to Greg's demeanor and how he presented my case in Court.

After having to file for divorce from abroad and having to get my legal papers apostilled to be recognized in my new home country, Husker Law (Thanks, Mike and Janene!) came through. They patiently worked through my unique situation in a friendly, patient manner that really helped throughout this difficult transition in my life. I cannot recommend them enough.

I highly recommend Ryan Steen. He did fabulous things to help my self out and my children. As hard of a time i was going through he always listened to what i had to say.
