Osborne, ESQ. of Reno, Washoe County, State of Nevada by Anabella and Fred Messmann In February 2018 Anabella suffered a major medical emergency resulting from a Colonoscopy and suffered major emergency surgery including placement of a Colostomy. I, Fred Messmann, prepared a three page synopsis of the event and began a search for an attorney to file a legal action against the doctor and firm he was associated with. After numerous phone calls to attorneys, who almost universally rejected the case on grounds of a statute capping these types of cases, I called Stephen Osborne’s office and was able to explain the facts to Jessica who recognized this as a potential good case for them. She also mentioned that Stephen Osborne’s wife Betsy was a doctor and she would run it by her as well. The next day we were in his office where they interviewed us and accepted the case on May 23, 2018. Anabella and I were treated so well, lots of respect, immediate call backs, informed throughout the process, details explained and treated Anabella with sympathy and concern for what she was going through. With the pandemic the case was moved around on the court calendar but Stephen Osborne stayed on top of the proceedings and was able to have it heard for Settlement. The case was concluded on June 6, 2021. Stephen Osborne is a skilled negotiator and was able to settle our case for more than we expected. We can’t say enough good about him and his team.
