I had eviction removed from my credit report, and I still can’t believe PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST raise my credit score to 804 excellent score within few days. He also helps me apply for PPP loan with the sum of $35k which reflect in my bank account with a low interest rate. I saw a lot of good reviews about his works and he would respond swiftly. Hire him:

Tyson was always the one I spoke to. He worked diligently to get our case closed and with the best possible outcome. After a long process he and his staff worked with every issue we had. They resolved our estate issues and we received everything we were supposed to thanks to their hard work and dedication. We would highly recommend Tyson Cross and Cross Law.

Last year, my wife and I had our first child and we were starting to get that uneasy feeling about not having a trust set up for our newly expanded family. Shortly thereafter I had the pleasure of meeting Tyson at a networking function. Some call it fate. I call it destiny. Not long after meeting Tyson and getting to know him better over the coming months, it became very apparent that he was the man for the job. We set up an appointment with him to go over our options and to set up a plan of action that worked best for our family. He was extremely thorough and made sure we understood everything throughout the entire process. Tyson is eager to help, highly professional, and an all around great guy. I highly recommend him. Thanks Tyson!

I live in California and my mother passed away in 2013. Nevada legal services initially found an attorney to handle my mothers estate for me pro bono, what a nightmare that turned out to be! The attorney who was handling my case was never available and completely uncooperative in answering any of my questions. The case went to court and a settlement was reached and I thought that was the end of my legal worries regarding my mothers estate. A year later when I attempted to sell her home, I found out my attorney had never filed the final paperwork with probate court so as far as the state of Nevada was concerned my case was still open and pending. I already had hired a realtor, the house was listed, and there was already an offer made, I needed the title to complete the sale and I couldn't get it until the case was resolved! I left twelve messages with my attorney's office and never once got a call back, I was finally able to get in touch with his secretary after several attempts only to be told that he was out of the office but the paperwork I needed was not in my file and I got no other advice beyond that. My realtor also left several messages for my attorney and heard nothing back, I was stuck and had no idea how to proceed, finally it became obvious to me I needed a new attorney to handle my case, hopefully one that was more available and proactive. I started calling all of the probate attorneys listed in Reno and each one I spoke to said they might be able to help but they didn't have any openings in their schedule for several months and I needed someone right away. I called at least ten different attorneys and they all had the same scheduling conflicts or were about to go on vacation, only two actually spoke with me directly. Then I called Cross Law and finally I was able to speak directly with an attorney who was not only helpful but optimistic about wrapping things up according to the timeline I had to work with. Hiring Tyson Cross turned out to be the best decision I made during this whole ordeal. Immediately the situation improved, and all of a sudden I was dealing with someone professional who was willing to take the time to answer all of my questions and not only that was willing to speak with my realtor about the legalities of me selling my mothers home. Right away he got a hearing scheduled with the court to file the final paperwork and officially close probate on my mothers estate. Because he kept my realtor in the loop with the proceedings, I was also able to extend the contract I had with the buyers and in less than a month and a half, everything was wrapped up. I never even had to leave California, Mr Cross handled everything himself, and was always very prompt to return my calls and emails. He was also available to my realtor for any questions and once the hearing took place everything was wrapped up and finished less than a week later. His rates were reasonable, and he was even able to reduce the amount of outstanding medical fees attached to my mothers estate to zero. I can't say enough about Mr Cross, his professionalism and efficiency far exceeded my expectations and if you choose him to be your attorney you will not be disappointed!

Travis Clark was phenomenal in putting together my divorce package after I was served. He listened to what I would like to see happen. We developed a game plan that he perfectly executed. Worked with the opposing attorney to resolve conflicts and provide clarification on matters of concern. Travis's advise was invaluable. In the hour before seeing the judge a big last minute detail had to be worked out. It was expertly handled to my benefit. In the court proceedings Travis worked with the court to ensure I received terms beneficial to myself and my future. Very, very satisfied with the outcome of the divorce proceedings, far better than anything I had expected. Well done Travis, I am in your debt. Thank you.

Kim Surratt is not only a great lawyer, she's a good person. She walked me through the hell that was my divorce, counseled me through the difficult decisions about the children, custody, child support, etc. and helped keep from going crazy when everything in my life was upside down. Divorces suck. There's no way around that. Having someone on my side that was empathetic to what I was going through, but was able to maintain a business mind about the whole thing was crucial to me making good decisions and not fighting just to fight because I was pissed. I've been back several times because of custody issues, and she's helped me navigate the ridiculousness of a crazy ex who happens to be the mother of my kids. I honestly don't think anyone could have done a better job.

Kim Surratt is a very special person to me. From the moment Kim took on my son's case, she worked so hard to achieve the right outcome. I believe that Kim saved my son's life, and strengthened our entire family. Our custody case was very difficult and lasted eight years. Kim was by my side, always giving me good advice, helping me have the strength to continue the battle, and saw our case to a proper final conclusion. I will always be grateful that I had Kim as my attorney.

Lance White has been my lawyer for over three years and has done an EXCELLENT job in not only fighting for me but also PROTECTING my interests! He is very straightforward and has told me what to expect each step of the way. He has kept me informed of each step and what the options were and what the risks were. There were no empty promises made just to keep the client happy, which I know sometimes occurs when seeking counsel. He is hard-working, thorough, professional, and insightful, especially when it comes to complex legal issues, and exceeds your expectations. I highly recommend him for any family court needs you might have.

Fabulous, thorough, and unbelievably knowledgeable in their field. Lance took care of my divorce with children and an EPO. HE not only took most the stress off my shoulders, but legitimately got me every single thing I requested, including primary custody, child support, and alimony. So impressed with his thoroughness and even more impressed with the outcome.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Reno, Nevada?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
