Todd represented me on a traffic ticket. It was not a good situation and was looking at the possibility of a loss of license. He appeared to know the people in the Court which seemed to make a difference because he was able to get my ticket dismissed. I would hire him in the future for certain.

I live in Arizona and I called an attorney where I used to live in NJ. Todd Palumbo said he would expunge (clear) an arrest record I have there. I agreed to pay him the retainer for his services with my debit card. Yet he never set anything in motion, I wasn't even mailed a receipt for my payment.
Here's the story:
Months after paying for the services I called to ask about the progress of my case, he began to sound like he had conned me by saying that the didn't have any record or open file for me in his office, and that he did not have any proof I had payed him. For moments I thought this was a mock law firm that some con-artist set up from a basement and I had just fallen for it. Turns out he is a real attorney and has an office in Cranford. After I felt forced to produce and show proof that he received the payment, he began to apologize, offered a refund, and offered his services again, gratis. At that point, I trusted a stranger with my money and legal matters more than I trusted this negligent law firm.
In Todd Palumbo's defense, he was quick at giving me a more affordable deal for my case in the beginning, and another one after he screwed up. He also apologized and refunded my money in no time and for that he gets 1 star.
Edit: In response to his response:
If you read the premises of his response, he does not refute anything that happened with his negligence towards my case, nothing there is disputed, not even a contest to the accuracy of my account. Yet at the end he says my accusations are "unfounded and without merit." Seems like Mr. Palumbo fails at a simple syllogism, and here's why:
To arrive at a conclusion that my claims are unfounded and without merit he needs premises that support this inference but they are nowhere to be found. I never said he "conned" me, I said it seemed as though I was being conned judging by the nature of the events. Then he mentions his history as an efficient attorney as if that entails a justification for his oversight. He mentions thousands of satisfied clients as if anyone would buy an argumentum ad populum in his defense on this particular case. Ladies and gentlemen, I submit; it is HIS response that is unfounded and without merit. In a profession where logic matters, Mr. Palumbo seems to have a deficiency therein. His best attempts at countering my review were asking me to take it down and attaching blame to a "clerical" error (I feel sorry for whomever he employs as a scapegoat). Mr. Palumbo failed to properly and rationally address my review in his response.
At least neither of us are liars, but one of us certainly needs to work on his reasoning skills. It has been a year or so since I wrote the review but the waste of time that he made me go through is still affecting me today so I figured I would take a few minutes to cement my claims in internet perpetuity. I do not recommend his services, in fact, I adamantly oppose that anyone hires him as an attorney.
