I recently scheduled four free consultations to discuss a specific estate planning issue. One attorney was fine but very, very guarded as far as what she'd say, and two attorneys lied left and right to try to get my business. Then I spoke with Ms. Paton, who told me exactly what I needed to know. She told me where I stand and explained why I might want to retain counsel and why I might want to hold off. And everything she said was corroborated by what I'd found from multiple online sources. She was very straight forward, very down to earth, and very honest, with no pressure. Whether I do hire counsel for this particular issue or not, she is the only attorney I'll even consider retaining for any of my estate planning needs.
