As a person who is hesitant to reach out to others for assistance, I fall into a trap. The trap is I know what I know; and I know those things I don't know; BUT I don't know the rest of what I don't know. Finding out what you aren't aware of is the best reason to seek the help of a professional. And Kimberly Paton is a professional, but with a humanist approach. She projects a desire to help you get organized and protect your interests. In our case, the questionnaire Shirley and I were asked to fill out before our first visit "finally" caused me to do a thorough check of my 401k's, pension, IRA's, and incredibly led me to a "lost" account. This led to a realization we had assets that might be able to be passed on to our children. Kimberly also showed us how we could protect these assets both for our children and for ourselves. Who knew? And that's the point.
