I contacted Barry Janay on April 8th about helping my relative get transferred to a different nursing home because of the poor care he was getting. It was an urgent situation. I spent an hour on a conference call with Barry Janay explaining the situation. He told me he would send a draft letter to me for the facility by the next day. By April 13th I contacted the office because I had not received the letter. He spoke to his staff and told me the letter would be sent before the end of the day. By the next day I demanded a refund of my $ 1000.00 because I still had not received the letter. He was very rude in his response to me and they sent me a false receipt claiming that the letter was sent the day before. I looked through my emails and junk mail throughly. The letter was never sent until after I requested the refund. You can see that he has more negative reviews than positive. The negative reviews give him one star. That shows how bad the service is. I suspect the 5 star reviews are from people that know him. Take a look at his responses to the negative reviews. It’s all excuses and nasty remarks. No apologies. Don’t use this lawyer.

Been trying to get touch with Neal Flaster for couple months now and NOTHING. It appears he screens his calls/emails/texts. OK things take time to review but COME ON!! at least have the decency to communicate especially when a family who is grieving mind you, has called the office #/cell # left messages /emailed , even text…MULTIPLE times. This is how your organization runs? LACK OF EMPATHY AND POOR COMMUNICATION. I would not recommend. Get you a lawyer who TRULY cares, is professional, communicates, and doesn’t make up excuses (whether you have a case or not COMMUNICATE that and offer some guidance). Only a TRUE professional would! After my calls/emails/texts were avoided by Neal. My sister tried from her number and he answered. He asked how much did my father make? What would that have to do with a potential case? Wanted to see if my father had money as a black man? Because his question was irrelevant

UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!!!!!!!!! I searched on the internet seeking an attorney who worked on contingency or pro-bono basis and received an email from Attorney Barry Janay. His receptionist responded to set up a free 15 minute consultation in an hour. I called and was put on hold, then told to call back in 5 mins. Atty. Janay and I connected but because of poor reception and static, I could barely hear him. I briefly explained my problem but had to keep asking and repeating..."Can you hear me?" He suddenly interrupted me and said he would be happy to write a letter to the person(s) involved but charges $1,000. I told him of my financial status and asked if he would accept $500...he said no. I told him I went on-line to search for someone who I could hire on a contingency or pro-bono basis and he responded via email. He put me on hold again...returned and abruptly dismissed me by saying he was hanging up because he had to take another call. I found him to be rude, arrogant and extremely unprofessional. By the way, this consultation took less then 3 minutes. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jessica was very professional and well prepared for court. She told me what to expect and exceeded those expectations. My greedy ex-wife wanted it all including premarital property. In the end she walked away with nothing. Thank you Jessica!

Horrible. Not only is Barry unprofessional, he talks a good game and oversells himself. He's arrogant and can't stand to be called out on his mistakes. He called my employer before reading the facts of my case - facts which I emailed him immediately upon payment. After he took my money, mishandled my case by not reading the facts, he threatened not to represent me (it was implied) because I was being "rude", when in fact, I was reprimanding him for calling my employer before knowing all the facts. I wrote a letter to the Grievance Committee at the Bar Association and reported his poor representation. This guy acted like a real pompous jerk.

I reached out to Jessica when my very difficult Post Judgment custody matters began escalating instead of diffusing. From my very first initial meeting with Jessica I knew I was in great hands. Jessica was upfront, honest and most importantly, she made me feel confident that all the steps we were about to take were necessary. Sometimes sitting back and taking the high road only makes matters worse. I knew and know that Jessica has my daughter's best interest at heart. My daughter is my world so that means a lot to me.
