My son got into trouble with DUI- he never showed for probation and at his hearing he got sentenced to 364 days in jail. My husband and I have been calling around for an attorney to file an appeal and help get him out sooner than the 364 days. Having picked the wrong attorney to defend him in his VOP , I was now more aware of what I should be looking for in an attorney. I was not at all happy with the numerous attorneys that I had spoken to. Then i spoke to Mr Tom Heuth at this law office . He did not tell me what I wanted to hear but he was honest. He told me that by the time he files an appeal , and it is heard , my son will be getting out of jail anyway on jail credits for time served. He said I would be wasting my money. When I asked him why he would tell me this instead of taking my money and trying to get my son out, he said "it's the right thing to do". I wish I had hired him at the beginning of the journey, because I truly feel that my son would not be serving such a long sentence in jail. He would probably be out on probation. This man is a gem in the field of attorneys. Call him, use him. I will use him if I get a traffic violation . He is on my list forever and i would recommend him to anyone who needs a good honest attorney. He is not after your money, he is after justice and doing the right thing. That is so hard to find.
