Bankruptcy is definitely a stressful process and can be nerve wrecking when you have no idea what you're doing. I reached out to Bruce & Shelley and after our first conversation I felt very confident with the process and knew I had a good team behind me. Overall, the quality of service is dependent on which service you seek. Ian is very capable at diffusing situations and bringing people together (e.g., great mediator). I would say the opposite is true for negotiation skills and legal knowledge. During my divorce, Ian helped keep conversations level, yet provided limited support in negotiations. As an example, I ended up being the point person on understanding the requirements around alimony and determining the final outcome. In conclusion, I think Ian would work great as a mediator when both sides have their own legal representation. I would not recommend Ian to provide legal representation.
