It is with the highest regard that I post this review of Peter Gerstenzang. From our very first conversation to the last day we met in court Peter was thoughtful in his representation. My case was time consuming and at times complicated. Peter and his wife Karen were always immediately available to answer my questions and when needed, they offered support and guidance through a difficult process. Joan from the office was helpful and kind. She guided me through the paperwork with endless patience. One would be smart to not only hire Peter and his incredible firm but also take time to listen to his sage life advice along the process.

We were referred to this law firm, and we are so happy that we hired them. We had some legal issues that required a certain type of lawyer, and Joe Gerstenzang was exactly who we needed. Joe truly is honest, knowledgeable and kind. He really cared to know how we wanted to handle the situation. Joe laid everything out for us from the beginning, so there were no surprises on our end in regards to price and possible outcomes. He cared to make sure that we understood the whole process. We were able to reach Joe directly whenever we had questions, either by text message or phone call. Joe Gerstenzang truly cared about our situation and what we wanted. He fought to make sure that we ended up with the best possible outcome. I do hope that we never have to be in this type of situation again; but, if we are, I know who we are calling. After our son was charged with a DWI offense, we met with Peter Gerstenzang and he provided us with guidance and addressed all of our many questions. Peter was there for me when it mattered the most. Throughout my entire case he was never more than a call or text message away, ready to answer my questions and educate me about the process. No question was ever too small or unimportant, I always received a call back or a message as soon as it was possible. When we first went to meet with Mr. Gerstenzang, I noticed all the plaques and awards of recognition for being a DUI/DWI attorney. I was questioning my decision to meet with him as we were seeking council in regards to a criminal matter. I am so glad we hired Mr. Gerstenzang, he is so much more than a DUI/DWI attorney. Our case was open for two years before it was resolved and Peter was great to work with. Unfortunately I put myself in a situation where I needed to avail myself of a top caliber DUI attorney/firm. Fortunately, as a former civil litigator in New York, I knew to retain Gerstenzang, Sills, Davis, Cohn & Gerstenzang. Thanks to their skill and reputation, the result arrived at in my case could not have been any better. This was achieved prior to having to go to trial. I was apprised, informed and counseled throughout the entire process by the attorney handling my case, Joe Gerstenzang. Generally I do not recommend or refer very readily, especially for matters that are so vital, as I feel a certain sense of responsibility which is beyond my control. That being said, if you find yourself arrested for DUI, your first and only call for legal representation should be to Gerstenzang,Sills,Davis,Cohn & Gerstenzang.

If you or a loved one are ever in the unfortunate situation of ANY serious driving offense this firm should be your first choice. They are the best in New York State regarding DUI/DWI/DWAI and handling not only your legal ramifications but your dmv penalties as well.

As we all know life situations happen and I've found myself with 3 DWI's within 25 years. As many of you may know this is not an ideal situation to be in and I was quickly referred to Peter Gerstenzang and Joe Gertenzang by my Uncle who has used their services in the past. This was by far the best decision I could have made in my life. Their team was simply amazing! They traveled to me and my appearances 3 hours away from their office on multiple occasions. They stayed in constant communication all throughout my case. Now even 4 years after they still answer questions related to my concerns. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Also... beside customer service, their results are 100% worth your time, I got an amazing outcome that allowed me to continue my career and life with a more than fair outcome in the eyes of the law given my situation.

So long story short, I had 3 DWI within 25 years, and my outcome was not going to be pretty. I was looking at some serious charges. Life happens but Peter Gerstenzangs and Joe Gerstenzang did an amazing job. They have amazing customer service and are top of their field in knowing outcomes and resolutions to these issues. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Do yourself a favor and utilize their services. I have no doubt that you will be anything but satisfied.

Wow where do I start I guess this is how my story went. I'm a 41 year old man who was at the end of his rope and was ready to throw it all in for a different hand till a friend of mine recommended Peter and his firm. I gave it one last shot and spoke to Peter personally and he told me to come in for a consultation which I did. I didn't see any good in this consultation I was for sure I was going to jail and I would lose joint custody of my children. I met with members of Peters firm and explained my case to them with the feeling of them telling me I was in a know win situation but I was wrong they broke every little detail down and by the time I left the consultation I was a new man with nothing but hope and staying alive. They didn't only make me feel like a man again they never judged me and gave me hope and belief that they would do the best job possible for me and wow they didn't only do that they got my charge reduced not my first charge to mind you it was a second offense of a dwi which I had the first one dropped to a dwai and they showed me promise that they could get the second one dropped as well and they did. I would like to thank Peter and his firm for not only doing a great job but for making me feel like the man I'm today and the father they abled me to be for my boys I owe you all more then money I owe you a lifetime of memories you have allowed me to share with my boys you all are recommended from me there is never another firm I would ever recommend to anyone thanks to the great work and the out most professionalism you all showed. So whoever in there write mind would give Peter and his firm a one star is either someone who had hired someone else with regrets of not hiring Peter and his firm but for the man Peter G who practically wrote the laws on DWI S and who has taught the State of NY and all of the law enforcement agencies on DWI S is far from a one star candidate he is above 5 stars as well my hat is off to you Peter and the great firm you have built.

Mr. Gerstenzang represented a friend of mine in a DUI case and got him a great outcome. The firm was also happy to assist with follow-up issues pertaining to getting a conditional license. Mr. Gerstenzang has a great reputation in the legal community as well - he basically "wrote the book" on DUI law. I would highly recommend this law firm.
