I normally never write reviews but this one is needed. Steven Epstein and his paralegal Suzanne are absolutely amazing! They are so incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. I felt extremely heard and confident in Mr. Epstein's talents since day one. They are extremely personable and truly care about their clients and their wellbeing. Mr. Epstein in phenomenal in the court room and got me completely cleared and found not guilty on all charges. I will never forget what this law firm did for my family and I. All hope was lost until I fired my lawyer and hired Steven Gaitman and his partner Jason Russo! I am a Registered Nurse and was facing a felony DWI in NY. Once the State Board of Nursing Education became aware of my situation, I was contacted by investigators and prosecutors who worked for the Office of Professional Discipline (OPD). Long story short; I basically was facing a double whammy, TRIPLE really, since my job ultimately was also on the line if I’d loose my nursing license. Ultimately, while Mr. Russo was physically showing up representing me at criminal court, Mr. Gaitman was kind enough to handle everything in regards to my nursing license. As a side note, I was arrested and charged in 2019 and my first lawyer told me that there is “no way” my felony will be reduced and to find a nursing lawyer to deal with the professional license aspect of my case. My case went nowhere from 2019-2021. Granted there was Covid, but once back in court, he kept adjourning my case and not updating me on anything. If it wasn’t for Steven and Jason; I would have lost EVERYTHING I have worked so hard for. As soon as they took over my case, mid 2021, everything went smooth from that point forward. I felt heard, understood, and at peace. After only a 1-2 court appearances, they were able to negotiate a plea deal in my favor. After 1 year of interim probation and compliance with outpatient treatment, my felony DWI was not only reduced to an unclassified misdemeanor, but on the day of my sentencing, the Judge also personally congratulated me, dropped all mandatory monetary charges, offered me a Certificate of Disability/Good Conduct, and granted continuation of my conditional driving privileges. Overall, I received 3 years probation, credited with the 1 year interim probation already completed, with eligibility of early dismissal, after having completed at least half (1.5 yrs) of probation. Basically after final sentencing I only have 6 more month of probation and my full driving privileges back. As far as my nursing license was concerned, not once did I personally have to engage with anyone from the state board or office of professional discipline. Steven made sure I was able to keep my license, job, and sanity :) and I only needed to pay a $500 fine. I will forever be grateful for Steven Gaitman and Jason Russo and would 1000% recommend them to anyone who needs serious legal help. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
