I retained USAVISANOW Regev Law firm for filing my EB1A petition based on a couple of recommendations from my contacts and Eran proved them right. My EB1A petition was approved within 3 business days with no RFE! This happened due to Eran and his team's high quality and thorough understanding of EB1A requirements. I immensely appreciate the great team's work and efforts addressing my queries/understanding all along the journey. I highly recommend immigrants seeking EB1A petitions to retain the services of Eran Regev, Esq. and Usavisanow.com.

I am impressed by the professionalism, research abilities of the team to support evidence in my petition, and overall guidance provided during my experience working with Eran Regev Esq. The exceptional service provided by the Law Offices of Eran Regev Esq. was above my expectations, with attention to detail exemplified during preparation of paperwork. I am a cybersecurity professional, and because of this quality work in preparation of this petition by Mr. Eran Regev, my EB2-NIW petition was approved in ten days with no RFE. I highly recommend their services as this law firm has merits and is committed to helping clients in their endeavors.

It was a pleasure working with Mr. Eran Regev and his paralegal team on the green card application for my parents. If you are looking for a peace of mind and worry free process you should look no further. Our paralegal, Nadia Zhulinska, was very responsive and helpful, making sure the process goes smoothly and without unnecessary delays. The paperwork, which often can be quite cumbersome was all handled by Nadia with competence. Overall it was great experience and certainly worth it for us.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Eran Regev and the paralegal team at usavisanow.com on my EB-2 NIW petition case. My case was very unique as I come from a non-traditional background (Finance Experience with a Masters Degree in a non-STEM field) and my EB-2 NIW petition got approved after 2 months of submitting my RfE response. After engaging an attorney that was unreachable for month and another one who overpromised but underdelivered and delayed my NIW process, I spoke with a few attorneys who were unwilling to take my case, some said they don't see a compelling case or others willing to take my case were charging me exorbitant fees for the NIW, Mr. Regev took on my case with an "approval or a money-back guarantee", drafted, and submitted my NIW petition and AOS application in less than 1 month. He was very knowledgeable, detail-oriented, patient and carried me along every step of the application process. He is very prompt in replying to any questions I posed to him, and he patiently answers each and every question. His fees are very reasonable (less than some attorneys I consulted) and and never charged any consultation fees like several immigration attorneys do. He and his paralegal team were also very helpful in reviewing and modifying letters drafted by my recommenders. Mr. Regev prepared a compelling petition letter and RFE response tailored specifically to my field of Infrastructure & ESG Finance and my Finance & Accounting background. He answers his calls promptly. Even when USCIS made some error on my EB-2 NIW approval notice, he was quick to follow up with USCIS contact center to ensure the error is corrected within a week. Thank you so much Mr. Regev for your patience all through the process. I highly recommend him and the usavisanow.com team for every potential petitioner especially people from a non-STEM background.

I have worked with Eran and his colleagues for last few years regarding the employer sponsored Green card. My GC was approved last week. Thought to share my experience with Eran. He was very much listening to the need and recommend few options to decide based on risk/benefit scenario. He was reachable directly without much hassle to go through several levels. Earlier, my H1B renewal was also seamless. The charges were very reasonable compared to the industry and well deserved to be hired!

2024-09-13 I hired Mr. Wallenstein the end of last year and today was the big day for me. As we know anyone dealing with criminal court or charges are on a lot of pressure but he was able to keep me calm and promise me that the case was gonna get dismissed. That's what happened today. He would refer any friend or family member to him that gets in trouble with the law. He's caring, confident and professional. Thanks for your incredible work Sir.

Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Manhasset, New York?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
