I finally decided to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy after exhausting all of my options and being approximately $50,000 in debt. I dealt with Ken who was phenomenal and completely erased all the feelings of inadequacy, guilt, embarrassment etc. that is associated with feeling that you have failed. The cost was good, I thought it would cost so much more and the process was quick. I retained the office of Jacoby & Jacoby on 9/30/15 and my case was filed on 10/13/15, my meeting of the creditors was on 11/5/16 (trust me when I tell you it was nothing like what I expected, and it was so many people there from all different walks of life. Trust me when I tell you it's nothing to be ashamed of). My case was officially discharged on 1/6/16. One of the best days of my life, I finally could sleep at night, I finally could just rebuild my life and make wiser choices. I promised myself that I will from now on make better decision when dealing with money, credit etc. I must say today I am not completely where I want to be but God has blessed me and I am not in the situation that I was in a year so for that I am extremely thankful. Jacoby & Jacoby did a great job with my case and helping me get out of debt, that one thing I wish I would have done was turn in my car and just hold off a little while until I could get another one, But nonetheless I'm still so much better off than I was and for that Jacoby & Jacoby will always get a referral from me.
