I hired Siemens Family Law Group to provide legal advice for my unexpected (and adversarial) divorce. Jim Siemens is a seasoned divorce attorney, very knowledgeable, and he has great insight. I also really appreciated his calm demeanor and kindness during one of the most difficult situations I have experienced. Jim helped me successfully navigate the divorce mediation process. After several rounds of negotiations over many months the attorneys in our divorce case decided on mediation. Several mediators were considered but Jim Siemens was selected. As it turned out Jim was a prescient choice. His preparation, calm demeanor and ability to gently push each side to a solution was just what was needed. We ended up working together over several hours during two separate, highly charged sessions. The issues were complicated, involved large numbers and the outcome was going to affect our lives for years to come. Jim was sensitive to the situation, did not rush anyone to an unwanted answer but did push both parties to reasonable compromise. It was hard! In the end I felt the guidance Jim provided my attorney and me led to an outcome we would not have achieved on our own.
