I have worked with Brownlee Whitlow Praet & File for several years on legal matters with my company . The staff that I have worked with Todd, Pat, Ann, Daniel are very courteous, professional, knowledgeable and very responsive. I would recommend them to anyone. Purchased multiple investment properties over the years, and Norm Praet and his team have done a good job in making the whole experience very smooth and friendly. I like the fact that they now have multiple locations.

I had similar senarios below; unfriendly staff and outrages charges including descrimination... NC Board need to take action as soon as possible.

These people represent my HOA association and will threaten you with foreclosure proceedings at been two months late. The staff including assistants are rude and you go from a couple hundred to paying over a thousand dollars. Thanks fellas

I had a horrible experience. Without going into details. The staff was never answering phones calls and when they called back they charged me with the call I received. Improper billing.... staff very unfriendly and seemed it was so difficult to answer basic questions...

Terrible terrible law firm they send certified mail stating you must contact us for a payoff amount So u contact them and they carve you 15 and 25 dollars Seriously a joke and I have no problem admitting fault on late payment I will pay the late fee but when they just make up stuff and you call them Out on the obvious after you contacted your financial and legal advisors ... they go silent and block you and then play games .

While going through a divorce, I lost the ability to pay my HOA dues and therefore my account was transferred to Brownlee Whitlow Praet & File . law firm. The first person to answer my call was Pat DiVasto and she was just as sweet as she could be explaining in detail what my options were to pay the debt off. It was one of the most difficult periods in my life and walking in to make my payment to this law firm always (ironically) brought a smile on my face, mainly because Pat was so compassionate and understanding about my situation. Unfortunately, the following year the same thing happened.... my HOA account fell behind again. I immediately reached out to Pat and she immediately helped me take care of things again. She was always so kind and so patient, I enjoyed seeing her each month I would go in to drop off payments. I could not recommend this law firm more.

I would definitely recommend Brownlee, Whitlow, Praet, and File to be used as an HOA law firm. The staff is very courtesy, professional, knowledgeable and very responsive. They handle everything in a timely manner and will always help you out in a bind. They provide great reports and feedback to any questions you have. They know the laws and stay up to date on anything that is pending. They do the majority of our work in North Carolina and I would refer them to anyone who asks. While it's never easy handling collections of accounts, they work very hard and always get the brunt of people not paying their bills on time.
