I made an appointment here for a Divorce from Bed and Board consultation. My experience was not pleasant and cost a lot of money. Upon arriving about five minutes before my appointment time, I waited outside for several minutes for them to open the door. I sat in the lobby area another 5 minutes before I was taken up the elevator to a conference room. I sat in the in the conference room another ten minutes before the attorney finally arrived. When I explained my situation and the type of case I wanted to file, the attorney was dismissive stating the “DBB was archaic and not used anymore. My first RED FLAG. This attorney was recommended to me as being really good at what she does, but I found her to lack empathy or compassion. I have never had an attorney who, is supposed to represent a client but takes the opposing person's side (without even meeting them). She dismissed psychological abuse and neglect as an arguable defense. She essentially stated I wasn’t a battered woman. She was very black and white with me further stating, I wouldn't get the things I wanted because I was married and that's the law with regards to a separation and divorce, this is a no fault state. She also told me since my spouse was the dependent, he was entitled to spousal maintenance. No ma’am he’s not a dependent-he can work! DBB is an at fault court ordered separation, which this attorney wouldn't even entertain as an option. I was charged 350.00 for her to basically say, I'll take your case, but we wouldn't be filing it under DBB. I said thank you left and never looked back. I found an experienced, compassionate, attorney, and was awarded what I was seeking. It took me a long time to paste this review, because it was so personal and a sensitive matter. I kept it on my PC for over a year. I am in a better place now, and if I can help someone else going through the same situation avoid linking up with the wrong attorney, this review is worth it.

Awesome staff and the professionalism of the law firm is nothing short of excellent. I had a very complex case that was taken on and followed through to the end with exceptional results. Carrie was a true staple of confidence.

Needed help with a simple document and did not receive timely responses, the first draft was the opposite of what we discussed and I was charged an exorbitant amount for work that was done incorrectly. Timelines promised came and went and it was on me to follow up. Even then, I was never able to get a hold of my attorney on the phone and emails went without responses for days. Do not use them for anything.

These people virtually saved my life. They have a wonderful staff. It is a very capable and compassionate team. You will be grateful if they agree to take your case. Through some of the darkest times of my life, they helped me through it. They helped me find the light.

Not only did the attorneys at Sodoma Law do an excellent job with my legal matter when I was a client 10 years ago, but when I recently needed a copy of a court filing relating to that matter to be sent to me overseas, Matt and his team at Sodoma Law were extremely responsive and got me what I needed practically overnight. Their top-notch client service saved me a great deal of time and money had I needed to deal with the court directly.
