Pete represented me in my divorce and settlement, and I highly recommend you use him if you find yourself in that situation. His advice post-separation and through the process, both legal and personal, made a very difficult event easier. He is straightforward and does everything he can to maintain awareness of cost. Where you will really be glad you have him on your side is in court and mediation. He will fight for you with the skill of a professional negotiator and is a strong presence in any room. I have used Brad Smith twice and with amazing results both times!! Even when my surprise witness was not allowed to testify cuz of his scared girl’s insecurities lol, Brad still won my case!!! He is hands down the best attorney around and is worth every penny!! If you want an attorney who will work for you and win, call Brad Smith!!!! And Katherine you are awesome too!!!!

Attorney Pete McArdle interrogated my daughter for 2 1/2 hrs at a mediation session. He had her in tears until the mediator had to raise her voice to tell him to STOP! he insulted her stating she was not a good mother to her 5 year old son because her employment wasn’t full time, even though she works two jobs! Has NO family or support group in NC! He was rude, unethical, disrespectful and heartless! My daughter is so frightened of this man!! He should be removed from this law firm he’s a disgrace...this was not the first time she has been treated like this by him!!

I contacted them thru email for consultation. I received a call back in a decent time frame. She said that JUST consolation for 30 mins to 1 an hour would cost $500. I thought that was just a rip off. Majority of the lawyers I called charge anywhere from 50$ to 200$ for consultation. I hate when people try to get over and over charge. I do not recommend them and watch out if you chose them.

Have to say that J. Brad Smith is a great attorney. He takes the time to deal with your problem even if he has to rearrange his schedule.
The staff that I have dealt with are knowledgeable and professional and great human beings. If I could change only one thing, it would be the have a more timely response to calls and being kept informed of progress. But a better defensive criminal lawyer you'll be hard pressed to find.

Very disappointed in Anastasia Cowan and this law firm. I felt that she didn’t really care about what I wanted or especially needed as a client. I had hoped that she would have fought harder for me because this also affects my children. I contacted Mr. Arnold to let him know that I was unhappy. Didn’t help. I paid them thousands of dollars. I feel that my money would’ve been better spent if I had hired a different attorney.
