My husband and I recently moved to the area, and since we’ve decided we like it here, we agreed it was time for us to face the thoughts/planning that no one really wants to face. I looked around on Yelp and chose Laura Rivers to assist us with our estate planning needs. After our first meeting with her, my husband made it a point to tell me that I had made a good choice. He couldn’t believe we actually met Laura herself & not just someone who works at her office. She personally interacted with us to answer all of our questions while being sensitive to the matters at hand, never rushing us into decisions or pushing us towards any one thing. Her follow up was quick and within a few weeks, our estate planning documents were completed. I have to echo another review I read about her. Laura is definitely an estate planning attorney because she cares about people and is not just about money. Naturally, she is compensated for her expertise & services, as she should be, but we found her price reasonable and her demeanor friendly and professional. She was patient with us even though we had to bring our two small children to the appointments. (We are so new to the area that we had no one to babysit.) I highly recommend Rivers Law to anyone looking for an estate planning attorney in the Charlotte, NC area.

Laura displays a compassion and thoughtfulness not often prioritized by attorneys. When we met, I truly felt her primary focus was on my family's well-being and legal safety - not about accruing hours or racking up costs. Her belief in providing affordable, family-centric legal care was refreshing. My family worked with her to develop a Will, POAs, and other documents, and it was evident her focus was not just on "checking the box" but discovering what was actually important to our family and how we operated and related to one another. Laura would be a quick first choice should I need legal guidance again
