I’ve used them twice now, extremely professional and personable. My sister worked with CMCT for over 30 years and recommended i work with Jay White. You’ll not find a better man in this field. Also, Michael Bergner did an extremely good job on another case for me. Regardless of the few negative feedback comments left on this firm, use them! The people leaving negative reviews are probably the type that are hard to work with or cannot be pleased no matter what you do for them. Like a lot of this country right now, too many entitled idiots out there! These guys at this firm are the best you’ll find.

I am an attorney, and needed an attorney for my dad's case. They just really want your consultation money. In the meeting, he was telling me he'd stay in touch with me, that this is an easy case, he can help me for sure, but afterwards, despite my attempts at communication, he ignored them and never made an attempt to contact back. This is against the rules of professional conduct of the legal profession, and also as a community member, just disappointing.

Mr Jay White was awesome from the time I called him till he successfully closed my case. I will strongly recommend him to anyone and will personally tell my friends and network!

DO NOT HIRE, I told them I would not plead guilty to a traffic stop citation. Mr. White took it upon himself on this first court hearing to plead guilty after I state I will not, even after the fact of that, they never called me to let me know. they never let me know the outcome of my case next thing I know my licenses is suspended and for the fact that the attorney Mr. white never let me know anything the court charged me an additional fee due to the attorney lack of communication. The attorney plead me guilty WITHOUT MY KNOWLAGDE AND WITHOUT MY CONSENT. BE AWARE THEY WILL PLEAD YOU GUILTY even if you let them know you do not want to, they make the decision for you THEY DO NOT CARE. EVERYONE IN THE OFFICE IS OWNER your only option for help AND COMPLAINT would be the North Carolina STATE BAR, they are all family member owners.

Left 3 messages for them. Talked to the receptionist who kept on asking me to leave messages, for different people. ZERO, I repeat ZERO returned call after leaving 3 separate messages. Client service at its worst. Glad I did not pick them to represent me and my case. Unprofessional place.

Merritt is the perfect combination of knowledge, skill, and empathy. In today's society fathers' rights often take a back seat to the mothers' involving custody and children. Merritt made sure that all of my rights were upheld often coming up with suggestions and ideas that I didn't think of during my court battle. He is a no-nonsense individual. He tells you what's best for you and the CHILDREN with the evidence to back it up and isn't a "yes man". He is also an ace at cross examining on the stand, not just with paperwork and contracts. He was also always punctual and dependable. Merritt is absolutely as good as it gets and extremely confident in his knowledge.

One question at a time, and I will answer it. Merritt knew exactly what to do, how to do it, and how fast. I spoke to him on a Monday at around 4pm, I hired him that same Monday after 5:30pm. Paperwork was filed Tuesday and two weeks later, my matter is resolved. He is honestly a beast. Thankfully, we solved everything outside of court, but I was completely confident that he would be great in court. He also told me the amount of money he needed and for what. He said I will need this amount and it's because this is my hourly rate and what I believe it will take due to your circumstances. He sat with me. He listened. He looked up all of the information I gave him and got to work. By the time I was in his office, he had already written the paperwork I would need to start the process. After each meeting, he always asked me, "are you okay?" - And that meant a lot. It's still a tough road, but Merritt made my road a lot less bumpy. Can't rave enough how professional, yet personable this man was dealing with my divorce. He was upfront and honest, and I always felt dignified.
