Eric Baker at McIntyre Elder Law helped us with our Estate docs (Will and POA docs), and he was fantastic to work with! Listen, no one wants to think about dying or what will happen to my family after I'm gone. But going through this before with a parent, I can tell you that planning for the future like this is extremely valuable. First, this type of planning ensures that you get what you want when you pass. In fact, everything I want is written out in plain English. Do this, not that. Honor my wishes (it's now the law). And more importantly to me... having these docs in place streamlines the process when I die so my family can access what they need and get what I leave them WITHOUT messing around with the State. That's the last thing I want - my family stressed out while grieving. I can't think of a worse scenario. When I pass, it's inevitable that people will grieve. But there's no point in giving them extra stress in the process. I want them to celebrate my life without worrying about the mess of paperwork and arrangements that need to be made. Talk about peace of mind! I digress. The bottom-line is this. These docs are important. And working with Eric was a breeze. He was helpful, clear, concise, and caring. What more can you ask for?! I'll definitely be referring more people to Eric in the future!
