From my Husband- Roy Jacobs was the absolute best lawyer I could’ve asked for. He fought the most difficult fight for me and my daughter. My custody battle was long and extensive, and even though the case ultimately ended up closing in another state, he was there for every question I had through the process. So my story is a long one, and I won’t bore everyone here with too much of it, except to say that my father is a united Methodist minister moms a doctor of the teachers doctoral program at Carolina so I come from a educated and well respected family unfortunately, some things happened to me as a young man that I internalized took out on myself, and never told my family about it and led me down a dark dark path that took me years to return back from. that being said, my experience with law-enforcement has been one involving great fear and trepidation. as I got older events occurred that caused me to have to start life over again ,literally! with God and my family I have been able to recover! I moved to Jacksonville and opened up the small business that ,thanks to all the pre-said ,has been very successful! in the Time period That I have lived in Jacksonville, I have received three speeding tickets, two of them criminal one of those was reckless driving the other was just for 19 miles over the speed limit. recently my wife also received a reckless driving ticket. Are we noticing a pattern here because I can tell you that my wife is not a reckless driver lol she’s a mother of an eight and 11 year old little girls and her life revolves around caring for them. so when I started receiving these tickets and I received my first, I was again engulfed in fear and panic, because a lot is on the line when you’re a small business owner! from the moment, I found Mr. Bolton and his God, blessed paralegal brandi I was relieved of these fears. First of all the first night I spoke with Brandi she talked to me for at least two hours lol I was a bundle of nerves afraid of what might happen what could happen, but she put me at ease. experience matters and listen I know this is going to sound so well written, and them so well spoken of that it’s gonna sound like maybe one of them wrote this, but I promise you and assure you if you look at my picture, you will see that I am a real human who has gone down the dark path and come back to the light these people are amazing. Consider this an ex DA and an ex assistant D.A. decide to not convict, but start defending the very class of people that they used to convict!! It’s a beautiful story and one I’ve actually heard multiple times before because my lawyer in Greensboro, Mike Schlosser actually was the district attorney of Greensboro at one point and let me tell you nobody and I do mean no one makes a better defense attorney than an EX district attorney lol! not only do they have the knowledge but they also have the game plan and the tactics that other DAs are going to use to attack their clients. Put simply in football lingo. They’ve got the other teams playbook and you’re not gonna catch. Mr. Bolton offguard! They know how to defend better than anybody else. They know the laws and the rules, and the methods that are going to be used against their clients and how to prevent them being touched by them, add to that the connections that they made throughout the years as district, attorneys and assistant district, attorneys, and let me tell you you can’t go wrong. most importantly, they actually care. I didn’t feel like a cash cow! listen, the education and experience that’s required to be a good attorney is mind numbing time and again they have come through for me and w reasonable rates. but let me ask you this. What is your freedom worth and I don’t just mean freedom to not walk behind prison walls because driving is a privilege , marriage is a privilege being able to decide that you’re going to not be home after 7 o’clock at night. It’s a privilege being able to make your own decisions is a privilege. All of these things are privileges and constitutional rights that can be taken away and that Lloyd Bolton and Brandi know how to defend and uphold to the fullest. I obviously can’t say enough about them. We will continue to use them. Hopefully we don’t need them anymore. Lol but if we do we know we can trust him and that we’re in good hands.

About five years ago, I contacted the registrar of deeds to obtain a certified copy of my marriage license (both by phone and mail). I was told there was no certified record of it, even though I had the signed original "marriage certificate" from the magistrate. I was told this was a complimentary copy and would most likely need the services of an attorney in order to get a Delayed Marriage Certificate. After contacting a local attorney, I was told I would need to get letters from friends, family, etc. documenting that they knew me (and husband) as a married couple. I would also need copies of anything and everything to prove we presented as a married couple. Once I had this information, the lawyer said it would cost a few thousand dollars to go to court to get everything taken care of. It took me two years to gather all the information and letters, and thankfully the attorney was no longer in a position to assist me. I was referred to Cape Fear Family Law. A small consultation fee of $200 and a video chat with one of the lawyers was all it took. The lawyer researched the files during the meeting and found the marriage license - in the archives!! I went online and submitted the necessary information, money ($10 per copy) and return envelope. Within a week I had my certified copy of my marriage license. Still trying to figure out why the certificate couldn't be located five years ago, but I have it now. I am grateful the attorney at Cape Fear Family Law took the time to research the records to find that marriage certificate. Cape Fear Family Law listened and took the time when others would not. The $200 consultation fee was worth every penny to get this situation resolved. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Great lawyers, reasonable price!!
