Cape Fear Family Law is hands down an amazing law firm with incredibly talented attorneys. I had the pleasure of working with attorneys Roy Jacobs and Janet Gemmell, and I could not have asked for a better team. My child custody case was complicated and long (4yrs), but Roy and Janet were with me every step of the way. What impressed me most is they were always accessible whenever I needed them, they provided timely responses (even on weekends/holidays), and were true professionals/masters of their craft. Both Roy and Janet know the law and how best to tackle your case!! Courts can be intimidating, and emotions run high; however, they were always cool, calm, and collected in their demeanor and meticulous in their work. Many times, throughout my case they expertly advised me with patience and understanding telling me what I needed to hear not what I wanted to hear. Overall outstanding experience and ultimately great resolution to my child custody case. I am forever thankful to these two phenomenal attorneys. When I got my ticket for running a red light I didn't know who to call. I talked to a friend and asked who he used and he said Mr. Bolton was the man for the job, and boy was he right. Not only did they tell me that the outcome would not affect my insurance but they got the ticket dismissed completely. If you are ever in trouble with the law Mr. Bolton is the man to call.

Mr. Bolton was incredibly attentive and confident throughout the entire process, which put me at ease. He had superb communication and attention to detail. Brandy was amazing as well. While I hope to not need his services in the future, he will definitely be our first call if we need him again.

Don’t waste your money. It’s near impossible to actually get ahold of him. He is quick to take your money then he will ghost you. Good luck actually talking to him after you retain him. His paralegal Lindsey is rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. For starters he’s done nothing for us in the months we have had him as our lawyer. He filed a complaint, then a motion to extend and then nothing at all. He let the motion to extend run out of time. Complete failure. His little paralegal Lindsey is so disrespectful. She will message my husband from her personal cell which seems weird and unprofessional. She is so rude when I go in. She makes snarky remarks to me. When I go with my husband to meetings she won’t even come out of her office but when my husband goes alone she’s all social. I let the first few times slide to be polite but I’m done being polite now after she’s been so rude to me. He needs a new team and better communication and he might get more stars.

Effortless support from the staff to assist myself in my needs. Timely responses and to the point. A couple of instances occurred to which could have been communicated better, but satisfied overall. Recommend.

Waneta Ellis is a brilliant attorney at Cape Fear Family Law. It took awhile for her to be assigned to me but once she did she made things happen. She is also kind, patient and understanding.

Never had to hire a lawyer before and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. Roy was fantastic and honest. Hope to never do business again lol but if we do we will contact him.
