Friendly staff

I paid King Law $1500 on Wednesday, September 8 to handle a probate case involving one motor vehicle. After 7 weeks of hearing nothing from them, I called the Lincolnton office on Thursday, October 29 and talked to the case manager, Trish Barnes. After a couple of minutes, it was obvious that absolutely nothing had been done on the case. In fact, no one had even been to the court house to take a look at the estate file. Trish was asking me the same questions attorney Jack Holbrook had asked at the initial consultation nearly 2 months prior. I emailed Jack about it (as Trish informed me he was to busy to talk to me on the phone), and he replied that "We wanted to see if this matter could be handled outside of court" and "Now that we have cover our base", he was ready to get to work on the case. Now I don't have a problem with trying to avoid court and covering bases, but it doesn't take 2 months to do that. It seems that all that was needed to do both was to ask me if I had been to the DMV with documents--which Jack had asked me at the initial consultation. To their credit, I was given a full refund--which only goes to show that they knew that didn't do anything--but I'm still out: the $50 consultation fee, the last two months I paid insurance on a vehicle I can't drive, not to mention the cost of making the 6hr round-trip drive to NC from my current home in SC. A total waste of time and money!

I would recommend this place for sure, very knowledgeable, Super nice and very friendly, and treats you with respect.
