Lillie Ashworth is so amazing. No one ever really wants to need the services of a divorce attorney, however, when a friend recommended Lillie, I knew I was putting myself in the most capable hands immediately. She had the ability to balance what was incredibly personal and emotional to me with the professionalism and the knowledge of the court systems and the laws that we were getting ready to navigate. One of the hardest parts, I found in this process was how long the state of North Carolina makes it, and trying to get through this with the added obstacle of Covid. I know I would have never been able to do this without her keeping me calm and focused on the tasks at hand. Divorce is a business transaction at its core, but she was able to be very sensitive to my feelings while still guiding. She was very organized and kept me up to date on the work that she was doing behind the scenes on my case, I never felt like my case was not the most important thing on her desk, even though I know I was not the only client! She has the ability to look at my situation and not try and fit it into the same box as anyone else. She recognized that every case is different, and make me feel reassured. Lillie researched every aspect of my case and made me feel like she was searching for the solution to my particular problem and challenges. I would recommend her to anyone that is going through anything to do with family law. This is not an easy branch of the law, but she is able to do it with grace, compassion, knowledge and professionalism.

Sarah maintained amazing communication with me throughout the process, very professional, great advise, and defended me from the harm the other party was trying to cause. Personally, I had a wonderful experience going through a very difficult separation agreement with Lillie Ashworth. Lillie is very clear with communication and knowledgeable about the separation/divorce process. I didn't know what to expect or how to prepare for this process, but Lillie walked me through each step. I can't say enough about how great of a job Lillie did with my case. From the very beginning when she asked what I was looking for in my custody case and why I thought that would be best, she stayed focused on my goal. Going to court for something as important as what I feel is best for my child wasn't easy. However Lillie was not only prepared the entire time, but kept me prepared and informed every step of the way. I'm not going to say that it was easy as I had several late nights working on what she needed me to provide her with. But all of that was worth it when we got the judges ruling in our favor and a couple weeks later, my daughter said that she likes the new schedule better than the old one.
