I was really dreading suing for custody and child support, including back child support. I’m a good communicator, but I don’t enjoy conflict. My ex enjoys it. The overall experience was far, far better than I was expecting. If I had realized how insulated Carly would make me feel the negatives of the situation I would have hired her much sooner. My favorite part was when she took the fact that my kid is graduating a year later and made it into a bargaining chip instead of the unwelcome, disruptive surprise it could have been. There were several good moments that I could never have done by myself. Outstanding experience.

Melanie Phillips is an awesome attorney! She is very thorough and very honest and she really knows the law. She listens to her clients and she helps them every step of the way. I called Melanie Phillips and explained my case and she made very clear what could happen and what she will do. She kept open communication with me. Before court, she made sure that I was well prepared and that she had everything that she needed. She had a binder of all my evidence and it was so well put together and so easy for the court to reference. She listened to everything that was being said in court and was able to find and point out the important points that helped things go in my favor. She has a very calm demeanor but Melanie Phillips does not play! Her closing statement was so powerful that me and my husband both looked at each other and texted, "She is on point!" The point of all this is is that she did not let the system get over on me and made sure the system did what was in the best interest of my daughter. If I am ever in need of family law assistance again, I will definitely reach out to Melanie Phillips at Wake Family Law Group!

Horrible firm... didn’t hold up there promise and then wanted more money

Mark sokol and his team are second-to-none in Raleigh North Carolina. They are not divorce attorneys would rather family law attorneys meaning they help families reconcile. There is a huge distinction as I have experienced both and at the end of the day I would recommend wake family law and more importantly Marc Sokol anyone else he would recommend. (I pray I spelled his name correctly but if you go to their website you'll be able to see as he is one of the first attorneys on the website and it's been practicing since the mid-to-late 70s, I believe. Class act all the way around!)

Helen is nothing short of fantastic. I have referred many clients to her and used her for mediations. She is a true professional, very relatable, does a really great job. She is great at what she does. And is a great person too. I can’t say enough positive things about her.

Katie King is nothing short of incredible. If it weren't for her and her amazing paralegal, Erin, I'm not sure I could have gotten through an emotional and very intense divorce.
