The process of resolving of a speeding ticket in Raleigh NC is very different than in Los Angeles CA but The Law office Douglas Portnoy helped me navigate through the process. In CA we get a ticket and we pay the fine, pay a lot of fees and go to traffic school - this keeps the violation from showing up on our driving record and increasing our insurance. Seems pretty straight forward and we all do this with out an attorney or ever going to court. However after receiving a speeding ticket in Raleigh I soon realized that the process isn't as streamlined. I returned home and had to find myself a good traffic attorney (I don't even think we have these in CA) to represent me at my mandated court appearance. So, as soon as I could I googled Raleigh Speeding Ticket Attorneys. Douglas Portnoy was highly recommended and his bio showed him having the experience and the results I was seeking. While on his office website Mr. Portnoy contacted me via his instant message service, I was able to chat with him and explain my situation, this immediate non-intimidating initial contact was comforting and put me at ease with the situation. He answered all of my questions, gave me advice and walked me through the process, it was because of this that I decided that I would hire him to represent me. Doug was indeed very informative and helpful. This was my first time ever having to use an attorney and he was very helpful and patient with me. Charge was 15mph over the speed limit. Doug got it dropped for me so it doesn't effect my license. Very reasonable. Hopefully no more speeding tickets for me. I recommend Doug as your first and only go to choice!

I called Doug Portnoy to help me with a speeding ticket that was significant enough that I had to appear in court. He was busy at the time I called, but he immediately texted me. We were able to discuss my case and he answered all of my questions via text message. He represented me in court (I did not have to take time off of work), and he was able to negotiate my speeding violation down to a minor one, which prevents this infraction from hitting my insurance company!
