Bankruptcy was a big taboo for me but when there was no other way I sought the services of Mr. Berggren and I'm so happy I did. He took me by the hand throughout the entire process. He is very knowledgeable, kind, caring, attentive and honest. He always made time to answer all of my questions during these 5 years, I really felt he was on on my side. Today was my last day in bankruptcy and I can't thank him enough for his services. I highly recommend him!

The people at Berggren Law office have literally saved my life. They were professional, kind, understanding and passed no judgement upon the situation I had gotten into. Heather, the receptionist, was awesome to work with. She was prompt to answer and ensured any questions I had were answered. Mr. Berggren was probably one of the most kind people I have ever met. Filing bankruptcy was incredibly uncomfortable and made feel ashamed, but he looked at me without judgement and made sure we covered all possible options, that were best suited for me. The process itself was “easy” thanks to the Berggren law office. I have a new lease on life and feel confident in my ability to make safe and sound financial decisions. Mr. Berggren helped us during a very difficult time when things were seeming pretty bleak and the financial impacts in the aftermath of losing jobs had us at our lowest point ever. His experience and guidance through the process was the beginning steps to where we are now. It was a long road to get here, but with his help and our diligence we were able to use this as it was intended and have survived a very difficult time and are on the other side successfully.

Attorney Berggren was professional, courteous and patient. He went above and beyond the scope of his needed involvement to listen thoroughly, understand our situation, and provide wise counsel. He was not interested in bilking us for payment, and in fact, recommended we NOT pay him for something that was unnecessary (when he easily could have acted like it was, and gotten us to pay.) I highly recommend him when going through the emotional and stressful bankruptcy process.

Attorney Berggren was professional, courteous and patient. We contacted him late in the evening when we had an unexpected issue arise (with an unrelated transaction handled by another firm. He had no involvement with that transaction, but he still took time to offer advice) He went above and beyond as he had no vested interest in helping us, and truly just wanted to help us resolve the issue. He was not interested in taking advantage of us, and in fact, recommended we NOT pay him for something that was unnecessary (when he easily could have acted like it was, and gotten us to pay.) Definitely an attorney you want on your side during the difficult bankruptcy process.

I highly recommend Bill Berggren's law office for anyone considering filing for bankruptcy! About five years ago I had a bad experience with a lawyer in another state (unrelated issue) that unfortunately negatively changed the direction of pretty much my whole life ever since. So the thought of having to deal with a lawyer and the court system all over again, this time with a bankruptcy, scared the bejezuz out of me, and I procrastinated as long as I could possibly wait, because I was paralyzed by my fear that things would turn out differently than promised, like it did in my previous experience. Having moved to Raleigh only recently, I had no local family or friends to ask for lawyer recommendations. So I picked out a few names from website searches and started calling around. The first two places I called pretended to be the lawyer’s office, but I suspect they were both nothing more than answering services to take messages. A paralegal; from one of those offices called me back same-day and we talked for longer than two hours about my case. But by the end of the conversation, neither I nor my husband were convinced she knew what she was talking about, or for that matter, not even fully paying attention to what I was telling her. She kept repeating things she told me earlier within that same conversation, at times contradicting what she said earlier, and asked me many of the same questions three and four times!! Long story short, it was Bill’s office that I called for a second opinion, and to hopefully get some definitive answers to my questions that did not receive answers from the other office. It was Bill himself who answered the phone, which I thought was pretty cool, but then instead of telling me I had to set-up an appointment to discuss details, we dug right in to the details right then. When I hung-up, my husband and I looked at each other said: “He’s the one!”. I expected that the process of filing for bankruptcy would be tedious, stressful, and time-consuming. While it was all of those things, choosing Bill Berggren to represent me was the smartest choice I made. I felt like he was genuinely interested in helping people (me) to get out of bad situations. He is very organized and professional but also very personable, and easy to talk to. Speaking of easy to talk to, I also appreciated the ability to have easy access to him either by email or phone, when I had a question to ask him. The process of filing for bankruptcy requires a lot of fact-finding and producing LOTS of documentation/ paperwork, but Bill was right on top of it, and helped me to keep on top of it as well!
