Angela Haas counseled, litigated and WON a very difficult case in the courts for me! The legal precedents for my case were thoroughly researched and she was prepared for any contingency that might occur on our day in court. She proved to be an experienced navigator of the court system. She was passionate and invested in representing my legal rights. I was treated as a partner in the legal process. Angela Haas's professional representation served to extricate me from an abusive relationship and was instrumental in getting my life back on track.

Angela Haas helped me work out a parenting agreement with my ex. Angela's help was invaluable, especially in keeping the matter out of court for the kids' benefit -- they had plenty to handle already. I never thought I would need a lawyer. I never expected the terrible things you read about or see on TV to become "real" in my life. It happened. I had a previous lawyer who I used and had to end up firing her because she drained my money and was not interested in looking out for my best interest. it dragged on and on forever. I didn't get this treatment at all with Angela. Angela was very professional, a go getter and very practical. she would advise me whether or not to pursue something as it was a good use of my time/money or to turn it away as it was a bad use of my time/money. we consulted on things to make sure my children and I were protected. If I would have hired Angela to begin with my divorce would have been over so much smoother/quicker and I would have saved tons of money and headaches. If you hire Angela, she will get the job done right the first time!

Prior to the United States Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage on June 26, 2015 (Obergefell v. Hodges 576 U.S. ____ (2015)), those of us in same-sex relationships and raising families found ourselves in precarious legal positions when those relationships no longer worked. Even with the Obergefell ruling, same-sex couples today still face a multitude of legal challenges when it comes to co-parenting issues. Unfortunately, I found myself in such a position in the early of months of 2009 and sought the counsel of Haas & Associates, P.A. as my legal representation in a messy child custody case for my then seven year old daughter. I did extensive research in the fall of 2008, searching for the right firm to best represent my interests and those of my daughter. I was in the midst of watching helplessly as my long-term relationship disintegrated and me unable to save it. It unfortunately became very clear that my only option for remaining in my child’s life was going to be a very difficult legal battle. How little did I know then about just how difficult it would become. I first discovered Hass & Associates, P.A. through various LGBT boards and communities. I used every bit of google magic that I could find, studying the pictures and words closely while I worked up the nerve to make that first phone call. From the moment that I first dialed their number, from that first phone call all the way to today, I have never once doubted or regretted my decision to retain this firm! Every member of this legal team has always treated my case as though it were the most important one to them, even knowing that there had to be many others on their plates. The first time I entered their office I knew I had come to the right place. It's not too often that you meet people who are compassionate with your struggle and more importantly willing to fight by your side. Could I give them no stars? I paid $202.00 to listen to a solid defense for my partner. I basically felt beat over the head with how well he had screwed me as if I didn't already know. I was looking for any amount of compassion or creativity. I've taught tort law before. It may not have been in blood but there were some grounds for breach they could have gone after.I even said at one point, "well I've listened to you advocate for my partner for awhile now, can you advocate for me at all" I didn't get a lot of response. Unless you're making an agreement or enforcing an iron clad one stay away unless you want to pay to be bludgeoned with your own mistakes. JB
